A poster from another board phoned into NBC to complain about the Shawn/Belle firing. He actually talked with Ed Scott. He talked mostly to his assistant but he did get to mention how great the production has been.

Ed Scott basically has no power creative wise. He's just in charge of production. There seems to be a real backstage war going on right now. It's basically Ed Scott/Hogan Sheffer vs Ken Corday/Dena Higley. Dena is scabbing while Hogan's on strike. Dena is the sole reason why Shawn & Belle are being written out. She has no idea what to write for them. She's also worried like crazy to break them up in fears of pissing off their fanbase (Duh, like writting them out of the show wouldn't piss them off.) It's quite surprising since Dena was the writer who started Philip's crush on Belle. Dena has Ken Corday by the balls and has a lot of power on the show which is very dangerous. If the strike ends there is a possibility that Hogan could end up fired or he'll quit. Hogan & Dena have 2 different views of the show.

There's rumors that Dena's wanting more characters gone. Here is the rumored Actors that are in trouble if Dena Higley stays in power....

-James Scott (EJ) Dena's 100% for Lumi. Unless, Hogan comes back we will probably see the end to EJ.
-Leann Hunley (Anna) During Dena's last reign she loved having Tony has a mobster like bachelor. There's rumors that Dena would love to have a Roman/Kate/Tony triangle. PUKE
-James Reynolds (Abe) A new doctor is coming to Salem who is rumored to take Abe's place as Lexie's bed partner.
-Joesph Mascolo (Stefano) Dena did write Stefano out the last time she was Head Writer.
-Kristen Renton (Morgan) She's been MIA for along time.
-Darrin Brooks (Max)

Suds, Anna's back next week.

Corday is never going to leave the show. He owns 50% of the show and it was his parents who created the show. Sadly, were stuck with him unless someone pulls a Chelsea and runs him down. Ed Scott having 100% control would be amazing for the show.

BTW Shirley Jones (Colleen) will only be in 6 episodes. It's a very short term role. Here's some Feb Spoilers....
