Caught the show on Friday. Did a lot of FFing, but was glad to see John back. I think I'll enjoy him being apart from Marlena while it lasts. I do like
them as a couple, but I'm not crazy with how he appears to devour her face when he kisses her.

Soap Opera Network is reporting Martha Madison (Belle) & Brandon Beemer (Shawn) have been let go.
I'm totally shocked. I know some don't like the character of Belle but Martha is amazing imo. I'm also surprised they were let go since they've been front burner for the past 5 years. Ken Corday was a huge Shelle fan. I guess the spoilers/previews for happy times for Shawn & Belle are true. Looks like Shawn & Belle leave town happily ever after. I was actually looking forward to a Belle/Philip pairing and a Shawn/Chloe pairing. |

Big mistake letting Martha go. She is amazing. Brandon Beemer, I totally understand. He is awful. The show needs to stop hiring people who can't act.
Drake, Bryan, Brandon, Nadia - all are monotone voiced and can't act worth a damn. Martha and Jay have amazing chemistry and should have been paired up as the rooting couple. But I guess Corday just doesn't see anything but Shelle. Sad, really. If Jason Cook were still playing Shawn and Kristen Belle then I could understand. |

I wish they would of gotten rid of Steve & Kayla instead. There return has been awful and most fans just don't care for them.
I just hope Belle isn't the one big character who is killed off. |

Martha Madison confirmed the firing. My guess is GH will snap her up after DAYS hired Tamara Braun. GH & DAYS have a long history of casting wars.
Getting rid of Shawn & Belle is a huge mistake. Even if you don't care for them. They were the future of this show. Both are children from major supercouples. Shawn & Belle have much more fans then Steve & Kayla do now. S & K did NOTHING for the ratings. Shelle have a major audience and I won't be surprised to see the ratings drop esp in the 18-49 demo. Expect many more firings to come. Some of my guesses... -Kate (She just resigned but is there any point to Kate anymore?) -Lexie (Renee will get fired for the 3rd time in a year.) -Abe -Stefano -Lucas (I have a feeling Lucas won't return after the 3 month vacation. Esp if the strike is over and Hogan gets his powers back.) |

The release of Belle and Shawn just confirms what a suckfest Days is. Whether or not you like the actors, here are two younger characters tied to the major
families on the show. That the writers cannot come up with better storylines for Belle/Shawn is a testament to the writers' inability.
I hope both MM and BB get snapped up elsewhere. Can EJ kill Stephano and then off himself? That would be good drama and save $. |

Rumors are that Dena Higley is behind this. She doesn't want to write for Shawn & Belle. I so hate this woman. She drived DAYS into a pitiful mess a
few years ago. Made OLTL into a crapfest. This woman should never write again.

I stopped watching OLTL under her. She had the whole Spencer & Mad Margaret stuff on OLTL.
-Lexie tells Brandon all of Sami's schemes.

Soap Opera Network is reporting Martha Madison (Belle) & Brandon Beemer (Shawn) have been let go.as if things weren't bad enough at days, this truly sucks. i, too, was looking forward to a Phelle reunion. and danny, you took the words out of my mouth - if anything, let Steve & Kayla go. i was a huge steve/kayla fan back in the day, but to bring them back and the only thing going on is that they are 'going to make a baby?!'. unreal. it never ceases to amaze me the stupidity behind these writers. i'm disgusted. |

-The whole Mysterious Island with Marlena. Marlena & Tony becoming Cassie & Rex's parentsI liked this...but then they ruined it by making them Kate and Roman's kids meaning Cassie couldn't hook up with anyone on the show. |

This may be fake but here's the list of DAYS Pre-Noms for the Emmys.
Lead Actress: Kristian Alfonso (Hope), Deidre Hall (Marlena) & Alison Sweeney (Sami) Kristian doesn't deserve a nomination. Hope's been MIA all year and has been Suporting. Deidre has the material for John's funeral/death but there is no way she was Lead. Alison makes the most sense being in Lead but she hasn't done any emmy worthy performances imo. Lead Actor: Stephen Nichols (Steve) & Peter Reckell (Bo) Peter hasn't done anything this year. Stephen is great but nothing emmy worthy. Supporting Actress: Renee Jones (Lexie), Lauren Koslow (Kate), Martha Madison (Belle) & Julie Pinson (Billie) Renee & Julie are real WTF's. They were both hardly on. Did the Billie & Nick affair happen in 2007 or 2006? I could see Julie submitting that. Renee probably will submit the episode when Hope pulled her out of the tunnel and her reuniting with Abe. Martha totally deserves to be the nominee. Supporting Actor: Bryan Dattilo (Lucas), James Scott (EJ), Jay Kenneth Johnson (Phillip), Joesph Mascalo (Stefano), Frank Parker (Shawn Sr), Thaao Penghlis (Tony/Andre) & James Reynolds (Abe) Frank Parker & James don't belong. Bryan & James should be in LEAD not Supporting. Jay, Joesph & Thaao are deserving. Younger Actress: Ashley Benson (ex-Abby), Rachel Melvin (Chelsea) & Shelly Hennig (Stephanie) Hopefully, Rachel Melvin gets a nomination. Younger Actor: Blake Berris (Nick) |

James Scott does belong in the leading man catagory. But he is fairly new to this show and he just turned 29 a few days ago. He has to pay his dues. So with
his age and amount of time he has been with Days. Im ok with supporting actor. for now. Why is Bryan even on there? He is one of the worst actors they have.
Abe getting on there makes no sense. He wasnt even there most of the year. sheesh.

flutterbug is not much better as an actor IMO. Besides... everyone knows that DOOL actors and actresses are not recognized at the Emmys. This list is probably
a 'what if they were nominated' list.

Yelling and furrowing your brow does not an actor make.When you get fired and are told to take acting lessons. After being on the show many years. That is
pretty bad. The guy sucks period and always will. Just because you have a hardon for the guy doesnt change how awful he is. James has had tons of amazing
scenes. The drunken pier scene. The scenes after he found out he was paralzed. The scenes in the church.
