In retrospect, watching the London season now, its actually quite good. Especially compared to most of the recent seasons.

I never saw the London or Boston seasons. I have no idea how I missed both of those seasons entirely but somehow I did.

I'd like to go back and watch the london season now. Jacinda is probably the only real worlder that was able to really break into show business.
In general, I like all the older seasons up until the point where real world started to make them work together. I think the only purpose in that was to make these kid sick of each other to create more drama, especially since what they show of them actually working is very little. |

I think some of the jobs work more than others...the Boston job at the after school center, for example, was perfection. It was a major part of the season, and
it was community service.

RE: Boston's job...I remember the episode where Montonna gets drunk at some company function in DC and gets fired. That always sticks out in my mind.

I think Montana was the worst RW'er along with SF Puck.

Ok I am finally clearing this crapfest reunion off my dvr.
I think that is funny as all hell that Isaac would make her look like such a fool. I wish they would have explored that more |

I know we've all done this a million times, but how to "fix" the Real World? (And we seem to want to, because we love the show)
Start picking people over 22. I mean no offense, but the best cast members have always been the people who were a bit older. Stop worrying about gender and racial and sexuality diversity. Start casting interesting people. If we get one more season with interchangeable blondes and meatheads, forget it. Whither oddballs like Judd, Puck, Lars, Genesis? Cohutta was great, but he got nearly completely lost in the sea of straight haired blondes whose names I could never remember. (As a prof, it's like the first day of class and I have five women all named Amber who look identical) Get people who have ongoing live already, not blank slates who were plucked from mid-college. I love watching people try and often fail at beginning their careers in new cities. Much more interesting than any forced group work activity. Forget the job -- it was novel for a while, and I get the purpose of it, to force them to be together, but I think its purpose has past. Most of the time the jobs are ridiculous, and half the cast blows it off anyway. Institute some kind of community service requirement for the city they live in -- one, there's the forced togetherness, two, the city would probably be a bit more hospitable towards the cast if they knew they were doing something "good" (even if it's just picking up trash) and three, the manifestations could be just as interesting as a "real" job. When Montana got fired, she had to find something else to do to stay on the show, and she did it asap. Trashiness should be saved for the Challenges. I want to see people struggling, not non stop fucking and drinking. (Well, you know what I mean. OF COURSE I want to see that, heh heh)

I've never watched this Sydney season, but apparently cast member Isaac's love interest Noirin is a housemate on Big Brother UK this summer.
