You can't go into ANY contestant thread without someone saying "They suck"...or "I hate them"...or just being an overall Negative Nancy. I'm one for insulting the contestants and chopping them into funny situations, but it just seems people have come out of the wood work to intentionally take every contestant thread and turn it into a "hate" thread. I mean, really, folks...it's Sucks, so some negativity would seem to make sense...But, really, in every single thread? Can't we like ONE contestant this year? I'm all for laughing at the freaks, geeks, and the unrealistic. But jiminy cricket I do NOT need to sit through a fucking 10 minute (or even five minute, plus more after the commercial break) life-study of these wastes of time. Enough already. Gimme a funny minute, and move on. I know, you were talking about posters here. I'm talking about why, although I love this show still, it was beginning to really annoy me tonight. So I can perhaps understand others coming here to get rid of some of the hostility that perhaps they, too, were feeling.

So I think we're all more cynical about the show in general. But I don't like hating on the contestants either. Not liking their voices or even their appearance is one thing, but there is a line between being funny and just mean. AI crosses that line a lot, and so do a lot of people here. You can be funny or snarky without being mean.

I don't understand why we don't get more of the good auditions. Isn't that the whole point of this show? Maybe not. Only now, at the end, do you begin to understand... It isn't about the singing. It's about the humiliation, the pimpage, and the nastiness. People that actually watch to see the winner 'crowned' are living in a fantasy world.

But honestly, I haven't noticed any change in attitude here. The posts are a lot less negative than the end of season six, that's for sure.
