I like Californication and David Duchovny, but his role is nothing new to television. That character has been played so many times. Lee Pace or Steve Carell
should have recieved the love on that.

I love how they gave it to Atonement just because it's a British film. Enjoy it, because it sure isn't winning the Oscar.

All normal people would have said "Who?" to every single winner. Hmm wonder why these award shows loose viewers year after year, oh yea the winners and nominees nobody knows!Zomgd!!!1111!!1 Like yeah!1. Why don't they nominate the same movies and people that are nominated for MTV movie Awards? Gosh, stupid people and their good tastes!1! Sooo frustraaating. Yay for Cotillard, Christie, Fey, Hamm, Mad Men, Extras. And it's possible that the two major film winners tonight won't even be nominated for best picture at the oscars. Although this does help Atomnement tremendously.

Mad Men is the most deserving, imo, so happy it won!!!
It takes the independent-minded Foreign Press to recognize such a low-profile show. |

YAY:
Marion Cotillard! Best performance of the year. Atonement! Sweeney Todd! Johnny Depp. Javier Bardem. NAY: Juno getting snubbed for Screenplay. "Longford" winning Actor and Series. Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee is the victim of R A C I S M. At least the critics and Emmys were smart enough to award it. Cate Blanchett winning. She was incredibly gimmicky in I'm Not There. SUPER SUPER SUPER NAY: Michael C. Hall losing. Bullshit. |

Michael C. Hall losing to anyone in that category not named Jon Hamm would've been bullshit. But Hamm is a damn good winner.
If Kyle Chandler was in the mix, I would've had a hard time choosing a winner. |

The two most satisfying wins for me were Glenn Close and David Duchovny. Ted Danson was robbed, though.

Johnny Depp and Sweeney Todd won. That's all that matters in my book.
Did anyone else besides me not miss the actual ceremony? Sure, drunken celebs can produce amusing moments and the fashion is fun, but who can say they honestly missed the "OMG! I didn't think I'd win, but I wrote a list just in case!" *fumbles with the paper* "I'd like to thank X, Y, Z. I also couldn't have done it without 1, 2, 3. I'd also like to thank God, the lady who did my hair, and the dog walker. I also thank" *insert shut-up already music* "anyone that I may have missed because you aren't important enough to me to remember your name." |

She's really good. I don't think she overacts, but she definitely steals the spotlight whenever she's in a scene.
