Things happen for a reason is a pathetic excuse for doing the things we do in life. We are evolved beings and have the capability to have some control of our
life, of our decisions. Letting my 13 year old child die so she can birth my grandchild is complete and utter bullshit.

If my 13 year old daughter thinks she is old enough to have sex, then she is old enough to make that choice.

I'll say a prayer tonight for your unborn children, Amy. Your posts are very disturbing.

Amy...people make mistakes...especially at 13. Think about the school and everything she would miss out on. If 13 tear old children were mature enough to make
that type of decision then they would have the same rights...such as voting and serving in the military. Having sex does not need a mature decision but having
a child does.

This is just my opinion.
Many of the pro lifers (which is a term that I really don't understand because if you're pro life, you should be for all life, but yet many of you support war and the death penalty form what I've read in this thread) are saying in various ways that the women who have are having sex, should do so with the expectation of becoming pregnant. This is a point, I adamantly disagree with. I have known women who were faithfully taking their birth controls pills, women who have had IUD's, women who have had tubal ligations, women who's husbands have had vasectomies, women who have told by their doctors that they never would conceive, all with the expectations of NOT becoming pregnant. Yet they still did. They had a choice to make. I don't think it's our right to tell them what the choice may be in their lives. I've said in this thread earlier, unless we know exactly what a women is feeling, thinking, dreaming at that exact moment in their lives, we don't have a right to judge any decision they may make. Either to go forward with the pregnancy or terminate the pregnancy, my opinion is that it's their choice. And for those of you calling the people on the other side of your argument names to get your points across, I think your arguement loses credibility, no matter which side your opinion falls on. |

A 13 year old is not old enough to have sex, certainly not old enough to bear a child. A 13 year old child who has sex made a mistake, and if the 13 year old
child gets pregnant, I believe the parent should step in and make the decision. As parents we have to raise our children. A 13 year old is still a child.
Amy, please tell me it will be at least 5 years before you start breeding. You need more time to live in reality before you start trying to raise children. |
