My freaking 9th grade biology class defined life as any organism that was able to survive independently. I'm pretty sure that doesn't include a
month-or-two old cluster of cells that could never take a breath, etc and so forth.

 Amy, I'm guessing you are in your very early 20s if you think people at that age are "old". What's the average lifespan
these days? 73 years or something? I'd say 30 years in your kid's life is more than enough. At least I'm guessing that is what my kid will say.

Since you're planning, you are choosing to be in your kids life for a short time. I hope you're still well fit and healthy at 42 years old for your kids sake.I have better things to do during my 20s and 30s like enjoy my youth and save money so that when I do have kids, they don't have to worry about college and can go to private schools. |

Amy, how do you know your child would love her fetus? And, if you knew that she would die from having to carry a pregnancy to term or in child birth,
wouldn't you also be killing your child since you knew that not aborting would ultimately take her life?

This is just...funny. There is NO scientific consensus on when life begins. There never has been, and it is unlikely that there ever will be.I couldn't agree more. I actually respect people of both sides of this debate, except for the pro-choicers who shriek that men shouldn't get a say or that all pro-life people are fundie nutjobs. And the pro-lifers stupid enough to feel that it is a simple issue. |
