I like Kevin's designs alright but I don't care for him as a character. He's still better than Ricky or Victorya though.

Last night I wanted Jillian to win because she used food... but Rami's was soooo good it really couldn't be overlooked. Those 2 are so talented I
don't see anything how we'll shake em before the finale. Maybe one will be a shocking boot at the final 4 (hopefully Rami bc he's boring)
Them and Christian I could see rounding out the F3. Well, 2 of them will make the final three, and someone else will fill in after some shocking elimination. There are other people I like are Chris, Sweet P, and Kit, but the first 2 don't have the talent (This last episode Chris made the best thing he's made yet and he still wasn't close to winning) and Kit has been getting an invisible edit. I think this season has gotten a lot better overall. I'm totally into it now. |

This last episode Chris made the best thing he's made yet and he still wasn't close to winning I thought that Chris' purple dress in the first episode is the single most beautiful design thus far all season. |

I thought Christian's dress came out surprisingly well, considering the entire thing was the papers from Reese's peanut butter cups. He had immunity
but he didn't really need it this week.
Chris's dress was my favorite...I did like the op-art look of it and found it wearable and beautiful. I would've chosen him for the win, but they didn't ask me to judge, so... Kevin's look was wonderful, I thought. Rami's was cool as hell and definitely had the whimsy factor, so I wasn't too awfully disappointed that he won. But wearable? Not so much. Come on, if the skirt is paper it isn't going to be very wearable, and I thought "wearable" was one of their keywords for the challenge. Oh well. Ricky's was funky and cute, in a very costumey way. Kit's, I can't even remember. Something about her is just not registering with me...I can't recall a single one of her designs so far. Jillian's wasn't as fabulous as they thought. Kudos for using real food, which was pretty interesting, but I hated the ticky-tacky clear center part of the bodice, too. I know the judges love her, but she isn't amazing me yet. Victorya hate from me. Her dress was ugly and poorly made, and I'm pretty sick of her know-it-all attitude towards Tim. Tim is a fashion god, don't argue with him. Argue with any or all of the rest of them, but Tim knows his $hit. I'd have dumped her arrogant ass. Sweet P. I like, and I didn't think her dress was as awful as Victorya's...it was bad, though, just not quite AS bad. And Elyse...bless her heart. She grew on me, and I actually thought parts of her dress were nice. The metallic silver arm/sleeve band things (or as Christian so brilliantly called them, "floaties") were insane, but come on...Chris, Christian, and Kevin all made brown garments, too, and weren't called out on it, so Heidi's "sad brown dress" comment was a bit harsh. |

What I remember most about Jillian is that red dress she made in the weight loss challenge, and how the jusdges were so amazed by it, and I thought it looked
like crap. Ot was so unflattering.

The thing that drove me crazy last night was the five minute time limit to gather supplies at the Hershey store. I would have rather seen them given time to make thoughtful, creative choices. Give them a HALF HOUR, so they can look around and plan and maybe even sketch. That would really make it more about who is the best designer rather than who is the fastest grabber....Excellent points Drew but you so crazy about Kevin. He single-handedly won me over when he was vowing to take down that tard Christian. I like his even-headed attitude and his designs have never made me wince like most everyone else. He's not the flashiest but he's overall very good (IMO). |

Love me some snarky/cocky Christian. |

I thought Christian's dress came out surprisingly well, considering the entire thing was the papers from Reese's peanut butter cups. Was it? I thought he made a fabric dress and sewed/hot-glued the Reese's wrappers all over it. They didn't show much of his actual work on the dress. |

Drew B wrote: You're right about that...I simply meant that he didn't feature
any other fabric in his design, unlike the others who showcased several different fabrics/papers.

I teared up a little bit during Elisa's goodbye speech. It was perhaps the most touching exit speech in reality show history.

Thank God Tim said something to Christian. There was nothing to that dress other then a basic pattern dress that 8th grade Home Ec. kids could sew and hot glue
gunned Reese paper cups. NO effort at all!

Agreed. I really like Christian, but I thought his Reece's wrapper dress was totally frumpy and high school art project.

fashionista.com is saying that they are being told that it is, in fact, a final 3 this season/cycle.

And I figured we'd be back to a final 3 this season. I thought it was obvious that they did that so Michael could be in the finale. His f4 dress was so
awful they couldn't boot anyone else that week, and they weren't going to boot him. If Uli hadn't won so handily she would've been gone.
ETA: Did anyone else want to smack Christian every time he said "ReesEEEEs" last night. I love him, but damn that was an annoyingly weird pronunciation. |

I thought Christian's dress came out surprisingly well, considering the entire thing was the papers from Reese's peanut butter cups. He had immunity but he didn't really need it this week. No, but it was uninspired work. I'm sure he thought his dress was the best thing going, but it really wasn't that exciting visually, design-wise or even technical skill wise. Chris also finished early, but his dress (which I thought came out great) had some depth to it. I know Christian is supposed to be the prodigy this season, but he's yet to make anything that truly wowed me over. |

a part of me thinks that, as far as the judging goes, the judges are out to keep y'all off balance.
you see something that looks like something you like, something you would wear... then the judges shoot it down randomly. you think to yourself, why? what do they see that i don't? and there's the rub. as long as "they" see what "you" obviously can not, they hold power over your judgment. if michael kors or nina garcia say something that you like is shit, then it must be shit, right? ??? after all, they are michael kors and nina garcia and who are you? then, in real life, michael kors and nina garcia get to push something that will make them money and y'all go... "ok. i obviously don't know as much as michael kors or nina garcia, so i will accept their fashion decision over what i think. after all, they are michael kors and nina garcia." that is the play of michael kors and nina garcia. that is their job. that's why i loved that freaky little elisa. she didn't give one shit about what michael kors or nina garcia thought. elisa did what elisa thought. she did her thing, with the biggest smile on the planet. you go, girl. oh, and fuck michael kors and nina garcia. what the fuck do you know anyway. you fucking hacks... |

I really really want to like Kit Pistol, but in both personality and fashion, she fails to register at all with me. I agree with many of the others who see
her as "meh." It is odd that somebody who came off as a rock star early on could just fizzle like this.
Vickie's dress was really ugly, but poor Elisa's dress (and she was probably my favorite) really looked like a bad costume for the summer camp talent show. I understand people defending her because of her graciousness, her personality, even some past designs... but this dress definitely earned her an out. Chrsitian's dress, IMO, was boresville. That pattern is so not cutting edge, and the crushed wrappers made it look pretty ugh to me. IT accentuated a not too pretty color, and then added a weird shine and rumpled quality to the piece. It was just odd... and not in a good way. |

Next season, more personalities PLEASE! When you have a whole season with about 3 personalities, such as this one, when 1 of them goes, so does the whole show.
I saw some people in this thread say they watch this show for the designs, and I do too, but I dont watch it SOLELY for the designs. This season has been an
utter disaster, boring safe designs and no personality.
This season makes me yearn for seasons 1 & 2. Where are the Wendy Peppers? The Santinos? The Jays? The Andraes? |
