NC, Your question is rather poignant in that entertainment as a whole has been drastically affected by this show. Without granting EPMB too much credit to inflate his already large ego, he did really set a standard that has had a major impact on how every sort of media is spoon fed to us.

Without the precedent that Survivor set, we would still be suffering through yet another formulaic cop/hospital drama or hot chick & tubby husband sit-com.
