Bwa-fukin'-ha! I am so glad Team Lachey won. Patti and her team just became so cocky. Patti's team was my favorite the first night and they just all
went downhill from there. "We are the Champions" is one of those songs that you can't help but get moved and inspired; however their rendition
was frighteningly bad.

Having sung in, directed, and choreographed several chorus's in the past 10+ years, I thought they all gave a lot and there were some fantastic
performances.. Nick's and Blake's choirs really relied on harmonies, staging, and presentation a lot more than the others. I think Nick and his choir
deserved the win.
I think Nick also had an advantage over the other 4 directors. The other 4 directors tended to use their chorus more as back up singers at times. Especially noticable on Michael Bolton's "when a man loves a woman." This is a natural tendency for for them though. Their performing experience is mostly solo/duet work. Nick's boy band experience taught him tight harmonies and the ability to back up a soloist with more than just "ooo's" and "aaaah's." He was able to translate his experience much better to a choir/chorus setting than the others. |

I think it's you guys that were painting Patti and her choir out to be cocky, they said nothing to allude to it. They did sing "We Are The
Champions" but with Patti being uber religious she probably meant in life. I don't think the choirs cared who won. It was a fun competition for a good
cause and in the end everyone got something.

Having had two nephews spend quite a bit of time at Children's Hospital, I was thrilled to see Team Cincy win! (One nephew died there with cancer and
the other's life was saved in infancy.)

One of my music teacher friends said that a lot of Nicks choir members were his former classmates from high school and that he sang the flight of the bumblebee
in HS.
However, another said that Blake had a bunch of OU voice majors in his choir. They all were able to put whoever on their choir it seems. I do think Nick had more choir experience but who cares. |

Meatball, I don't think Lachey had an UNFAIR advantage, just pointing out that his choir sounded more polished because I believe he has more real
experience. I am THRILLED they won and thought they were the best by far.

Nick said on the show that he sang Bumblebee in HS choir...and that it blew everybody away. That's why he chose it.

Why is it that Tracy Morgan is hilarious when he is just being himself but completely unfunny on 30 Rock?

When he pointed, I will admit to yelling "I can't READ LIZ LEMON!" LOL It was like they had a gray square on the card or something. I'm sure
it was jet lag or something, right Tracy?

As I stated earlier but didn't elaborate further:
Patti's choir has the most depth - as pertaining to the standard Religious choir. Much more soul. Their first night is still my pick for the best performance of a choir through the entire competition. But they've been going downwards. And that "We Are The Champions" was just too damn bold of a thing to do. And the first verse solo guy truly sucked. Did they honestly think they had this thing in the bag? Could they stand still looking shocked ANY longer than they did after team Lachey won? Then Patti walked off. Bitter? Love her but didn't like that nor her choir's reaction. Nick's choir was the most youthful and energetic. He's been going upwards. They definitely deserved the win. As much as I love Patti I'm glad
she didn't win or we'd never hear the end of her being endlessly slammed. For 63 she's still got performing abilities. Voice not the same though.

For the past two days, I've seen "news" about Patti's new line of wigs scroll across the ticker on CNN and Headline News. It makes me giggle.

LOL, the Diva was pissed... | ||
LaBelle politely asserts Philly really wonPatti LaBelle sounded politely miffed shortly after Philly finished second on last night's finale of Clash of the Choirs. After initially asserting, "It was a ripoff -- somebody stole it from me," she backed off a bit. But only a bit.

Would she demand a rematch? "Tomorrow, I'm going to say congratulations to my boy," she said.
Too bad she didn't congratulate him last night. Poor loser. |

'WE ARE THE Champions"? Well, not quite. "I thought it was about singing, not popularity," she said. dumbass, that's why you lost, your choir sucked.

Wow, it's always been obvious that she's a diva, but damn, an ungrateful, bitter, sore loser too. Patti, if you read this, I just want to say to you,
"God don't like ugly". And right now, you is UGGGGly!!!!

I think it's funny that she mentioned Lachey's chorus was more like back up singers, when I heard more harmonies out of that chorus than any of the
others and they didn't mainly rely on soloists to carry the whole song.
