That was a pretty decent ending. It seems that this episode was predetermined to be possibly the last. It was a tidy ending. Leaving a few questions but not
gaping holes. Closure in someways too.

They definately knew it could be their last yet they did leave it open enough if they got picked up as a series. The exchange between J-man and Livia was very
telling. "I have a feeling we won't be seeing each other for a while".
The only really odd part for me was the very end when they did a close up of freaky's eyeball. |

What a great show. That was the last of it. It's too bad we won't get to see more even though they did give us some answers.
So how does the professor know what he knows? And who are the people tracking the travelers? So Livia and Dan are the only ones and there used to be more? Evan sounded like he met others before. It was a nice end to the show. It was good while it lasted. |

Just once I would like to see a show where time travel capabilities are given to an irresponisble moron greedy jerk who wasn't so stressed out all the
time.

ok the only thing that absolutley sucked about this being the last episode was that the jack character was barely featured and had no closure
what so ever...
besides from that though, i am hard pressed to think of anything (besides from maybe if there are indeed others and what the true deal with liva is) that is unresolved - i really love this show and am bumed that this is most likely the end of its run, but at least we got a fitting farewell and not a million questions on our plate

I will miss this show but I am VERY happy with the final episode. As said by others, it answered a lot of questions while still keeping enough open for it to
come back later OR for us to imagine the rest of it ourselves. I did get closure. I felt like I had been watching a movie, or a miniseries, and that this was
the ending of it. I'll still miss it, but it's nice to have gotten closure.

the only other thing i didnt fully grasp, is if there is a reason why livia and dan dont think they will see each other for a while... is it because livia is getting married or something else that is just way over my head? |

I just watched the last episode.
Stupid NBC for canceling this wonderful show. |

Let's pull off a Jericho-type fan rage and push NBC into bringing Journeyman back! I don't understand how ridiculous crap on Monday nights,
specifically CSI: Miami, continues to be on air, while smart-written, interesting shows like Journeyman get cancelled. BRING IT BACK!

So, where is the actual published story about this cancellation?
I'm seeing that the 4400 is cancelled - but no posts in that string. I haven't seen any reports that this show is cancelled. Hmm... I have been pretty busy lately, but usually cancellation stories don't sink that fast. |

I'm pathetic. I've been bombarding NBC with emails. I don't think I want this show to last "forever" but there's more story arcs
for at least another season. Come on NBC!!!!!!

You know, I'd be happy if they just brought it back as a mid-season show next year. Even if they only produced another 12 episodes as good as these were,
that would be terrific. And why can't they? CBS is reviving JERICHO as a mini-series. Why not JOURNEYMAN?
The show suffered from the collapse of HEROES this year. It was regarded as another thrown-together sci-fi show, but it was much better than that. Audiences just didn't give it a chance. Also, if you didn't watch it from the beginning, you'd have trouble following the complex, serialized plot. JOURNEYMAN was not viewer-friendly for newbies, which probably hurt it. |

Sue -- I don't know that NBC ever "officially" announced its cancellation, but they did decline to pick up any more new episodes.
Six of one, a half dozen of the other. It's like when a network says a show is going on "indefinite hiatus". There's always a small chance the show could come back, especially if the strike lasts a long time, but with the show getting under 5 million viewers I'd say the chances are very slim. |

ok, late to the party here --- and goddammit, FAR too late for PCA voting, uuuurrrrgh
It is positively a CRIME that this show didn't get picked up, that it didn't find its audience ---- really, that NBC didn't do its damnedest to give it the best possible launch. I'm getting flashbacks to the frustrated days of Arrested Development fandom - there's this great show that you and a fiercely loyal and rapturous, but unfortunately relatively small, audience rally around. Every week it's quality TV and you just sit there wondering why more people don't put this on their TV. It's such a waste of good programming the way they throw this on late primetime on a dead night! And then to burn of the finale on a odd night --- if it weren't for torrents I would have missed the last episode! I'm not saying this show was perfect, but it was compelling and well acted. Sure, if you looked close enough there were some plotholes or just overall inconsistencies but IMO nowhere near as bad as most of Season 2 of Lost. I suppose I should be grateful there's one less show to keep me addicted to tv, but I just think it's really unfair that this one never got a fair shot. I seriously feel bad for the writers and actors and everyone involved in this, because I really think this was a quality show that under different circumstances, could be a hit. It would be cool if they took the writer's strike and lack of programming to rerun the first 12 episodes (heck, I heard NBC's importing Monk and Psych form the USA network to take up space.) There's always the chance for new viewers - they could even promote it that way --- "catch up on what you missed out on the first time" and all that. But i know the network doesn't look at things that way, and they would only be afraid of losing the barely 4~ million that tuned in the first time. well i guess i'll just go sign the petition, and maybe since i'm feeling particularly outraged, I'll even write to NBC to vent. Who do you even email with complaints etc? |

Joanna Going, who played the politician's wife in the final episode, has done some time-travelling herself. When she played Victoria Winters in NBC's
1991 revival of DARK SHADOWS, she travelled back to the 1700s to learn how Barnabas Collins became a vampire.

^ I guess producers of these shows like to cast actors with time travel experience. ;)
I agree with the poster who feels sorry for the writers & actors, etc., of this show because you can tell they put so much care into it. It's hard to believe something this good (okay, not perfect, but really absorbing and smart tv) can just disappear like . . . Dan on the way to a new mission. Speaking of which, crazy Evan seemed to do something smart that I always thought Dan should do: carry around a backpack at all times filled with necessary provisions. After 6 months, Dan should be an experienced traveler, there's no excuse. Livia too. And about her costuming - apart from the last couple episodes, her clothing was hardly 1940's. But I digress, alone here in the Journeyman thread, hoping for a miraculous resurrection . . . . |

^You are definitely not alone here, my friend. Journeyman was friggin ROBBED of its potential!
It's very rare for shows, especially new ones, to have a perfect-fitting cast like Journeyman did. One day NBC will wake up and realize that Journeyman was one of its few saving graces! |
