I would prefer a real choir competition, where they weren't such long solos if at all and no prerecorded vocals. And actually, when you take a rock or
alternative song and turn it into a choir song, it sounds really cool. They shouldn't be afraid to go that way. When I was in high school we used to do
this all the time and it sounded great. I remember doing Dust in the Wind by Kansas. It was just lovely.

Does anyone have a link to the performances last night? My vcr (why we don't have dvr yet I don't know) did not tape. I cannot seem to locate clips on
Youtube yet. Thanks in advance!

No, I guess I did. I had to google him. I thought someone made a typo and meant Keith Urban. D'oh!

Another soloist + backup singers performance. Patti, you have a talented choir, and you should use them.
Observation for the soloist: My dear, you are no Carrie Underwood. Jesus, take the microphone! And since when is Jesus, Take The Wheel a "Christmas song"?? I can sing about my broken heart, but that doesn't make me a cardiologist. |

Lachey's choir is pulling off The Flight Of The Bumblebee, a cappella!
"Heaven-even-even-even ..." ETA: That is one of the most impressive choir performances I've ever seen! |

Loved, Loved, Loved Team Lachey's Performance. I've never seen a choir do anything like that.

I really enjoyed that!!!! Go team Lachey.
Is anyone else sensing a man-crush between Shelton and Lachey? |

Nick's Gang O' Bees really pulled off that tricky acapella performance.

I didn't even know there were words to Flight of the Bumblebee. While I've never tried singing it, I never got why people acted like it was the
hardest. thing. ever. to play.

That was a really tight arrangement of Home, and despite an iffy start from the guys, the female soloist knocked it
out the box!
ETA: The foot stomps make a huge difference, too ... despite Blake's apparent inability to perform them in time with his choir! |
