I seem to remember the judges did talk to LOD and encourage them to keep on with their music. I liked LOD too, and they were hubby's favorites. He has quit
watching the show now. We really like the rock music though. I don't enjoy Denver's band at all. I will be happy with either Clark Brothers or Sixwire
winning. They are both pretty good.

I don't think they are doing another Rockstar, but if the writers strike continues, who knows.
I think the CB could do rock really well. Sixwire (which is a lame name for a band) has the feel of a jam band. Unfortunately, people respond to country music in this country. I don't understand it. I hate country and I don't know anyone personally that likes it. Except for this old black dude in a bar I go to. He sings along to Jerry Reed on the juke box. |

I'm actually glad I can't read the spoilers on here, as I don't want to know ahead of time. I like rock music the best, but I can tolerate some
country. I grew up listening to quite a bit of it because of my parents. But I choose to listen to mostly rock. Anyway, I think Chris Daughtry got the last
laugh. Doesn't he have the number 1 album now for the past year? I think I read that somewhere.

Hardly a spoiler. Seemed pretty clear since the departure of their beloved franklin *gag* bridge who was winning. And to think this show had such potential.
Yeah, I miss RockStar too, much more my thing. |

I had hoped that real musicians instead of dime-a-dozen singers (i.e. A.I.) would raise the level of professionalism of these reality shows but somehow they
were able to screw that up to by making it all about marketability from the gecko. After having seen what this show is, it's almost as bad as AI not to
mention Rockstar. And even though the concept sounds great on paper something went wrong with the execution. Plus, the CW type ratings are inexplicable.

I love AI and I loved this show. But nothing tops Rock Star for me. Part of it is the songs they use. Part of it is seeing them in the house BB-style in
between shows and watching how they get along with one another as well as how they pick their songs and work the workshops. And part of it is that Rock Star
gives better Second Places than First Places (Dilana and Marty Casey KICK ASS). This was a fun show. It gave us some great new talent. I am interested in
following several of these bands. But nothing is as edgy and raw as Rock Star. I miss that show.
