First off, what a great finale, fun fun fun as a fan.

Most important happening - my eight month old son crawled for the first time today! Who cares about the winner, my day was already perfect and blessed.

Well, you might think I'd brag for the outcome. Never, I'm not like that, never will be.

And actually, I feel as ToneDog, I failed in my job. Period.

When the merge happened, I recall being thrilled. I felt boom, Todd is the winner. I came here and the initial response was so the other way, I was literally stunned. I said so, but I didn't fight, I didn't push. I couldn't articulate what I wanted to say. The last couple weeks, all the PG/Todd stuff, I tuned out. I felt very strongly about my thoughts, but I let everyone down by not at least getting a better position out there.

My gut, back of the head feeling, the thing I couldn't get to saying out loud, is where was the real negativity? I thought the setup was a mad jury for a while, but it started to hit me - Todd's worst moments were in confessionals. Nearly all of Amanda's moments period were the same. I had written off Courtney and Denise. PG had in game relationships moments that were highlighted, but once out, where was the angry jury? Erik? Nice smiling Jamie? The one person who would fight like hell was JR, but no one everlistened to him the whole game anyway. Todd had self awareness and knew he was still calculating his last move for later on. PG herself commented at least three times that she shouldn't have done what she had just done. I felt somehow one of those two would come to light. But there wasn't the rationale I could find for how the positive option to Todd or PG made too much sense.

In other words, Todd's "negative" edit was in some part at least, manipulated. You can read a while ago that Amanda came to light early only to explain Todd. I know some saw that in her favor, but you shoud care about the winner. It doesn't mean you love them, but you care about their moves, actions and as a character. In the end, it was really a Final 2, Todd and Courtney. Amanda's purpose can be debated, and I'm sure will be, but story counts. And it is easier to create late doubt for the winner then the give the winner's whole story away with one ep to go.

Besides, Pasotrdice called Todd and I knew he's never wrong! :-)

I actually have more to write, but I actually have a late AM rewatch with my mom who just got off work and came over, and I have to work tomorrow. I'm just glad I did an okay job, but hey, there were a lot of people who were masterful at judging in Edgic this year. Keep your emotions at the door is the only advice I can ever give. Y'all have the rest down cold. Night all.
