I thought the first rule was that they could pick any two people that they considered worthy for one reason or another (hard work, leader, motivator) and that
the second rule was that they could give it to anyone "just because."

YAY for Sophia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Without question she earned BOTH her stars. She earned the first star before anyone even knew there was a star, and after that for SEVERAL WEEKS she continued to work hard, if not harder. She is a great kid. Morgan....OK...as long as she's not Mike, or Taylor. YAY! Migle....OK....as long as she's not Mike, or Taylor. YAY AGAIN! I couldn't be happier. |

The whole way the big stars were given out was stupid. DK and Michael definitely deserved to be in contention for them, and it was stupid for such big prizes
to be decided by only four people. Those winners should have been picked by the entire town.
Sophia was a no-brainer, and although I'd kind of forgotten about Morgan since her early win, I remember people saying afterwards that she was really the mother of the town, and along with DK, really helped hold everyone together. The one I don't understand is Migle, but I guess that's what happens when two of your BFF's are on the council. At least Zach got his star, even if it should have been one of the bigger ones. |

glad Sophia the sheriff won another gold star and Zach uhhh, did Taylor(I don't do anything) really say something like we worked hard to build this town??? eta: hoping they have another season and Nathan from Smarter Than a 5th Grader goes... |

Migle can afford that new boob job when she wants. Already having her bra straps hanging out and such.
She must have slobbed on Greg's nob for that one. |

All these stars ruined the last episode. Producers shouldn't have added the 3 50k stars and, instead, just added to the salaries of the kids.
This show just puts way too much emphasis on these stars. It's like they've taken up half of the season. Next season, one star a week, 10k a star, and less air time, please. The burning of the board and waking up of Mike for some of his spazzy comments was utterly idiotic, cheap and bad cheese. Half of this season's episodes were incredibly boring. Kid Nation needs to work out a more fluid time arrangement if it wants a season 2. The episode should have ended with the return of the parents. Instead we got the whole long drawn out speeches, in all their cloying condescension, at the pioneer meeting. At this point, I just wanted the show to be over. It was a terrible way to end the season. End with the kids' connections, their parents' arrival and on an emotional level instead of throwing out money arbitrarily, cheap kudos, and an awkward bridging of the age gap. |

I know we were trying to be PC in this thread since it's about little kids & all but I must say that Sophia is really going the way of female modified
mullets & 'comfortable' shoes. It can't be just me noticing that. She's got to be coming out of the closet in a couple of years. I say
this not because she has a strong personality but because she sends my gaydar soaring. She's going to be a damn fine strong woman.

I don't think I have gotten this invested in reality show contestants ever. I can't believe it all over. I need more damnit! I need more episodes.
Another season. A reunion. Something..they can't just cut me off from Bananza City!
When the parents came running down the road I started tearing up and did so on and off for the rest of the show. It was just so sad, touching, goose bump worthy and inspiring. Migle got the 50k star (Her mom is hot)? WTF? Mike was robbed. It should have gone to him IMO. Oh and Marckelle doesn't bring 'fun' he brings 'flaming gayness' to the town. Wasn't she a lazy ass for the 1st few weeks? Doesn't seem right that she improved so now she gets a gold star worth more than say Laurel or Michael or Zach. Oh and Mallory? Least Deserving Gold Star winner ever. What a waste. I feel robbed of some sort of Taylor closure. Where was her story arc? I guess the editors were left scrambling since they couldn't do the big turn around storyline since she never changed and the most they could get was her washing dishes to get herself in the arcade and not really working just to help the town. She left w/ a whimper. I am going to miss this show completely. |

Kennedy deserved one of those $50K stars -- she dances funny and makes people laugh at her.
Eta: I agree with everything UC said -- get rid of those damn stars if there is a Season 2. THEY'RE STUPID. Nobody gives a shit who wins money and how much they get paid blah blah blah Just make them do hard work in lousy conditions for our entertainment.

Those winners should have been picked by the entire town.Agreed..not that I think that Morgan and Sophia were bad choices but clearly it should have been a ballot thing where the town should have voted in 3 seperate elections awarding a star each time to someone. Oh and next season - female host please. It would greatly lesson the creepiness. I know, I know...he just loves the kids. ;) |

By the way, I didn't see ONE shot of Divad tonight. And I was looking!
Was she killed by the producers? Was Divad the one who was bleached and thrown in jail? |

For wearing a silly mask she would have gotten all the 50k gold stars!
At least her winning one 20k star was awesome though, it's a true inspiration to other children with down syndrome.

And Migla wins because she takes the time to teach Emelie to get used to the fact that pretty girls don't want to be around an ugly fat girl. |

Props to Zach for apparently being one of the only kids in town (despite being one of the youngest) to disagree with the looting. Like Sophia, he's an
adult in a kid's body. He's going to go far in life, and his parents should be proud.

That is true. Migle totally deserved it, that was a tough life lesson she taught fat little Emilie that she was going to need to learn eventually anyway.
Luckily an older pretty girl was there to set her ass straight.
Emilie should have been dead to everyone after the challenge with the pies and she was just eating them the whole time anyway. |
