I'm just worried that a second season, like with all reality shows, won't be able to capture the magic that the first season did.

I think it even took a while for them to figure out to "play for it". I still can't wait to see if they do another. We must have missed a hell of a lot of Morgan being saintly.

(they didn't volunteer the first time) They must have been pissed when they found out they had no shot at the $50,000

Nobody ran against Laurel the first time around because her whole district liked her and thought she was doing a good job. I think it pissed Michael off that she didn't go along with the member switch and he thought maybe she was getting a little full of herself. That's why Michael ran for council.

He stepped up to the plate when needed, he comforted younger kids when needed, he just tended to be hot headed at times, but he started realizing how he acted alot and would back off too. I think he deserved the $50 k more than Morgan or Migle. Sophia I agree with. She worked hard. Jared should have been the 3rd gold star winner. The Jared moments just made the show for me.

Each person was chosen for a different reason: Sopia was chosen because of her crazy amazing wrok ethic. Morgan was chosen because of her ability to unite the people in the town. Migle was chosen because she grew the most--in the eyes of the Council atleast. I may not agree with their choices, but I liked how they picked the winners for different reasons other than, "You have worked really hard the entire time."; "You have worked hard the entire time."; "Uh, you worked hard the entire time."

I think the kids that got a $50,000 gold star should have had to give away their $20,000 gold star (if they had already received one) to a kid of their choice.
