Friends and classmates of a 16-year-old girl who police say was murdered by her devout Muslim father
in a Toronto suburb told local media Tuesday she was killed for not wearing a
hijab. Police said in a statement they received an emergency call at 7:55 am local time Monday from "a man who
indicated that he had just killed his daughter."

Yeah, I saw this one the news. The girl used to take regular clothes to school, to change into, and took off her scarf. I think that the brother and other
siblings (I'm not sure) followed her to check up on her, and they told the dad. The brother is being charged with hindering the investigation or something
like that. She was a cute girl.

There is a girl where I work who ditches the head scarf as soon as she gets in the door. Fortunately, our building is secure and she gets a little freedom
every day. She is dropped off and picked up by someone so she is only scarf free at work.

So sad. The father KNOWS he did something wrong or he wouldn't have called the authorities and confessed. So much for Allah is always right or he
wouldn't have confessed it.
Just like I figured out the catholic church was nutz on many church laws like birth control/divorce/premarital sex/homosexuality/protecting priest who impregnant woman and molest little boys and girls, and many mormon/polygamist women figure out marrying a man in his 40's while you're only 13yrs old and is also married to your mother is wrong, the muslim women will figure out that if they're raped it is against the law to stone them when they did nothing wrong, and not wearing your burkas in a western country so you can fit in and make friends, should not mean you must die, and dating a boy you like doesn't mean you should be killed by your father for disgracing the religion. Religion is downright scary. |

This reminds me of when I went to catholic school and we had to wear uniforms and our skirts had to be below the knee, when the style was way above the knee in
real life. All of us girls rolled up our skirts when we got a block away from school and went to the mall. Oh and we all put makeup on before we got to the
mall.

Just yesterday a newstory came out of a british girl getting security because her muslim father wanted to kill her for leaving islam.
