Yes, I've seen Poo Poo Broussard. I secretly laugh at him, but hope he's not known very far and wide.
And yes, I live in Lafayette. I'm working very long hours for the next few months, but maybe when I get a breather we can meet up. You should know that I'm old enough to be your mama. Hell, maybe older. |

There are lots of things I've never heard of that they eat here.
Verners Soda (oh, it's Pop) Bumpy Cake And what in the hell is Broasted Chicken? In Colorado there is nothing that weird. Perhaps Buffalo Burgers? In Tx they make great Tex Mex and BBQ You can't have anything better than Chicken Fried Steak with Cream Gravy in Ok or my all time favorite Biscuits and Gravy. In Mo they deep fry Pickle slices with a side of ranch. |

Oh, that's alright. Any excuse to go eat some food somewhere is good with me. I'm not as dumb as you probably think. I'll bring my husband and
little girl. They are both a blast. :-D
(I think Poo Poo is hilarious. That commercial that comes on with him in his mobile home cracks me up. Oh, I love dis house, I bring dis everywhere dat I go.) |

meatball, I had fried pickles for the first time a few weeks ago. I should've never tasted them, they were delicious!
And hell yes to chicken fried steak with cream gravy and biscuits. My mother was originally from Texas, and she used to make great biscuits and cream gravy. |

I don't equate youth with dumbness! I brought up the age thing because I saw in the office Christmas party that you didn't want to hang with the old
folks. (I'm not ancient - well it's all relative, ain't it?)

Ha! I don't mind old folks. Just old MEN. Ugh. Professors. Not fun. (I work at LSU.)

There are three Thai restaurants in the next block, so I guess the local specialty is Yum Nua.

In Southwestern Montana it is the Deep Fried Pork Chop Sandwich. A pork tenderloin smashed thin, breaded, deep fried....
I resisted for a long time, but they are on the menu at every restaurant. Now I love them - in moderation. |

Buckhorn Exchange in Denver serves all kinds of wild meat. Denver is more known for Buffalo meat than anything else, good beef also but not as good as Iowa or
Nebraska.
I'll never forget Little Pigs restaurant in Iowa where they served the best BBQ Pork sandwiches EVER, and Maid Rite loose meat sandwiches in Northern Iowa, melt in your mouth goodness.

How did my fellow Montrealers neglect to mention our world-famous bagels? Montreal bagels are waaay tastier than their plump New york cousins.
Oh, and Schwartz smoked meat is to die for... |
