I liked Sixwire's original song, and Clarks had the best cover.
Unfortunately I think Sixwire is gone next week. |

Nope louie. Sixwire is going to win. That original song was wonderful.

Well Sixwire or Clarks are going to be Tamyra'd next week, and the other band is going to end up winning.

Surprised as hell Denver is still in it. And think the judges were trying to put a lid on Light of Doom's success. I think they know it would not be a
really good thing if the little twerps won. Sixwire is most professional. Clark Brothers are most current and potentially huge crossover stars.

Who the FUCK keeps voting for DMHO? Seriously? And I <3 Big Band in general, but Denver just creeps me out for some indefinable reason.
Dot Dot Dot = ROBBED! ::cries:: Clark Bros. FTW, I guess. But watch it be a LOD/DMHO F2, and I will cackle like a crazed Hyena. And what is up w/ the theme choices? Was there some rule about not choosing any artist whose relevance isn't 30 YEARS in the past or more? I love classic rock as much as the next (old) person, but how about The Clash/Elvis Costello/Joe Jackson/Pretenders etc. Even more recent stuff? This show should have been called "Next Great American Dinosaur Rock Cover Band." ::wails:: ADAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmm ::cries some more:: Oh well, at least I'll have a better chance of catching one of their gigs next time I'm in Chicago. eta: Hold me, Louie?

louie77 wrote: That is EXACTLY what pissed me off too. I know each band was doing two songs so there was a lot of ground to cover, but what total fucking disrespect they just showed by favorite band of the comp! The judges didn't even wish them good luck. It was shitty and I'm pissed about it. |

I have a lot of respect for all three of them and aesthitically love them all, but I will be missing Dot Dot Dot every week. They were the best band there and I'll continue to follow them. If they had been in the top four instead of LOD, I'd be able to honestly say that I'd buy a CD and go to a concert for any of the top four bands. LOD needs to go home. They need some melody. You can do hard rock with melody (see Megadeth, Metallica, hell, any of them) and if those boys can't figure that out then they need to fucking leave. They may be good in a few years but now they're still being in the comp means the ones who are ALREADY good are leaving. That sucks. |

I hate LoD for Sanjayafying this show. Did anyone catch that little blonde boy, who was strongly protesting Dicko's criticism of LoD, after their Queen
song? ScArY!

Fluffynurse wrote: A little bit :) I never heard the song the Clark Brothers did before. I tried to figure out what they would do and nothing was coming to me. I have to say, I really liked it. I'd probably prefer it to the Queen version. The original had corny lyrics, but it was performed well. LOD did exactly what I expected. They left out the only redeeming part of this song, the guitar riff as written. I think I blocked out the original. God have mercy. Sixwire sounded great on both songs, I found the original song well done - but sappy lyrics. DMHO - who is voting for them? I do think The Clark Brothers need to focus on a more pop rock direction. Ashley looked terrified when Dicko told him to embrace his inner rock star. He's afraid of becoming a heathen. But of all the bands, they are the freshest and I think deserve to win. If there is any justice, it will be a Sixwire/Clark Brothers final. |

At least Denver is fucking interesting. I used to not have a problem with LOD. But the longer they stay, the more pissed I get. |

Six Wire was awesome, besides being great musicians, their harmony is incredible, and that song was so good. I hope they do a country album because they will be a big hit in that genre with an audience who would love them regardless of the fact they're a little older. That's who I voted for. And like Sheila E, I want to buy that cd. Disappointed to not get to see ... and instead those little kids again, they need to be gone this week. And yes I don't like seeing little kids with attitude like those Doom's have. Compare them to the humility and good manners of Six Wire and the Clark Brothers. When they're assholes as kids, they'll be even worse as adults. Even that Denver guy was rude, and he did look slobby, the man's criticism of his tshirt was appropriate. The crack about "Hollywood" and how people in Nashville ask you what church you go to not if, shows what assholes that group is, and I even hope Doom stays so they will be gone, and I can't stand those midgets with attitude. Is LOD Mormon? Just reading about it on that Romney dude...weird religion.

Sixwire released a CD back in 2002, you can find it here. But, it's $62.50! Used! They're rare. I was lucky, I got one for $8. It's A+!

Not me! I got lucky! Anyway, the Clark Brothers sucked on the cover. Here's how it's supposed to be done.
