I think Amanda just is seeing her position in the game and has to shake things up. If she's up there with Todd, she'll be seen as his lackey and won't get credit for it (Just like whateverhernamewas who was up there with Yul). The funny thing is she really has clearly been a major part of the scheming all along - she's been boring TV (esp thanks to the blurring) but she's been directing Todd more than the other way around. The thing is, by making Todd more of the front man she doesn't get jury cred for strategy - a tough problem.

So since knows that Todd and James would be essentially a Yul and Ozzy redux for a jury she's had to move.

She has to take the chance a strategic player like Todd will appreciate the game-play of the blindside (assuming she delivers one to him - I don't read spoilers so I genuinely don't know) and that here best bet would be to be lined up against 2 people who are either hated (e.g. P-G) or seen essentially as non-entities in the game play (Denise, Erik, and Courtney to a large extent, though she's also playing the game more than people seem to think). I think a perfect final two opponents for her would be along the lines of PG (easily) and probably Courtney (though it's tougher - I think Erik and Denise would both be strong sympathy-vote candidates).

The Danni comparison isn't apt - Danni was the beneficiary of an alliance turning on itself too soon - if anyone's actually closest to her game at this point it would actually be Erik.
