Leg 2 - DING DONG, Who am I Going to Rib On After This Damn Leg?

This is Fort Santiago. Let's get on with the show Allan Wu...

Alright, first to leave the pitstop (Allan did not call it a pitstart is astounding) was Pamela and Vanessa. Second to follow was Marc and Rovilson. Now, Rovilson hitting Marc with the pesos just goes to show you they are doing it BJ & Tyler-style, by hogging the camera. I love BJ and Tyler but those two pinoys, fuck 'em.

Once they arrive at the bus stop, they had to take a bus to Pila, a municipal in the province of Laguna. The boys coerced the girls to make their bus go and it worked! Damn... and with the bus making sure that everything needs to be at least 70% occupied, they made them go. And every bus leaves every 15 minutes. Then, of course other teams get on the bus and like Marc/Rovilson and Pamela/Vanessa, they made the bus move. Only one team get my attention, Henry and Terri singing the Philippine national anthem on the bus with the other passengers to encourage/harass the buss driver to move faster to Pila.

Now, the first two teams arrived at the Pila Municipal Center and find themselves a Roadblock.

ROADBLOCK: Who has animal instincts?
This roadblock, team members will have to travel in a three wheel motorbike to a nearby paddy field to command a carabao. A carabao is a like cow-like creature that helps the Filipino farmers till their paddy fields. Teams will then command their carabao to do a slalom or a figures of 8 around the field. If they call a farmer for assistance, they will have to start over. Commands such as gee, haw, ho, hei/hey are used to direct the animals.

Now, nothing much to shout about with this roadblock and not even someone giving us a sign that they watched previous seasons by giving us a classic line of their ox being broken or in Aurelia's case, leaking. Notable mentions are Adrian doing the Roadblock; Aurelia being ditsy as she is (I like such girls) plays as the city girl who goes to the village and seeing the French getting down and dirty is a sight to behold and calling it a beaufallo and praising it; Kinar trying to ride the carabao; and finally, Henry sweeping through this task with a cooperative carabao.

Next clue, go to the Caltex Star Mart (product placement, much?!), get 4 boxes of supplies, travel to an orphanage in Manila by jeepney and give the supplies to the kids. The caretaker will give them the next clue. Ann and Diane ate their lunch and shook the bus floor a little bit on the way to Manila. Pamela and Vanessa, although they were then in 2nd place, they kept asking for the Caltex petrol station, in PILA. They were supposed to go to Manila so this is what happens if you don't read your clue carefully. As you can see from the show, the kids were like wild animals. Teams came in and the kids tore open the boxes as though this is a scene from those UNICEF ads about Africa. One team mentioned that they kids were as comparable to wild animals so I take that as a compli-insult.

Next clue, Detour:
DETOUR: HEELS or WHEELS

In Heels, teams will be sorting and matching 250 shoes.
In Wheels, teams are giving bike parts, some tools and have to assemble the bike with a completed bike as a reference. If they have successful built the bike correctly, teams will be given their next clue. (Just like TAR3's Switzerland leg 9)

Right, most teams did Wheels except Brett and Kinar. What I found extraordinarily funny was that Sophie was like having a rage towards her ditsy French roommate because Aurelia, like a ditsy girl she has been playing in this leg, that everything she touches turns to shit. Aurelia is turning out to be my favorite racer this season.Why am I not mentioning the fake-Romber Monica and Edwin? Well, with a 30 minute penalty strapped to their ass, I don't think they can make it with such a tight race. So, no point mentioning them. Besides, Ediwn did a "Jonathan Baker" shove at Monica while doing 'Wheel', showing 10 years in a relationship, thinking you are the Asian equivalent of Romber, thinking that the next step in a relationship is The Amazing Race, is a huge farce in front of the millions of viewers in Asia.

Well, after teams finish, teams had to head to Paco Park for their pitstop. Marc and Rovilson came first and they won something that should have gone to Vanessa and Pamela in the first leg, a $5000 use of a Standard Chartered credit card. Nokia handphones are retarded. Paula and Natasha (fake Thais) came in second, with Ann and Diane in third. Pamela and Vanessa came in fourth, fifth was Collin and Adrian, sixth was Brett and Kinar, seventh was Aurelia/Sophie, eight place were the siblings Daichi and Sawaka and in ninth were Henry/Terri. Phil is so much more inviting than Allan. The nerve of him, telling the other team to step off the mat. Phil at least says, "Hey, *so-n-so*, join us here at the mat! *So-n-so*, you're team number ##!". The only other time Phil did not do that was in Poland.

Finally, Monica and Edwin were gone thanks to the 30 minute penalty and coming in last place. Eliminated! WOOT! And they had a walk of shame, not even a hug or something! Kudos to the editors for using the walk of heavy shame. That it is to it and I will give a better commentary for next week's episode.
