Good choice. TPTB would never have trusted you again. Even if they mistakenly viewed you as a loyal fuckwit before the counter offer, your cover was blown. The need to keep you by making a counter offer would forever have been held against you! |

Yeah and they ended up looking desperate by making 2 counter offers with more money and benefits but would not go as high as the new position so screw them.
