sounds like there's another dance Tuesday night that's judges only? I hope so.. it gives someone a chance to beat Marie if she gets the phone vote.

Actually, the judges scores from the final dance will be combined with Monday night's public voting results for the final two couples only. All public
votes and scores for the 3rd place couple will not be considered.
So I suppose it is possible for Marie to win it all if she has LANDSLIDE results from the public vote and dismal scores from the judges, but I wouldn't hold my breath. I'll be amazed (but ecstatic!) if she isn't the one eliminated before the final dance. |

Maks is a very hot guy, but that photo has always seemed so awkward to me. Maybe because he looks like he had all his body hair lasered off.

This moment is from a rehearsal for a group dance on Strictly Come Dancing. I wish we had more of those homoerotic moments over here. Of course, if I say that, then it will probably end up involving Jimmy Kimmel and Kenny Mayne. Here's the group dance. Here's the US version from a few seasons ago. Helio and Julianne had the best dance, Mel and Maks were good too, Marie was so/so and had a lousy attitude, but I still want Marie to win. (Sabrina should
have been in the final three instead of Marie but anyway)

I think the problem a lot of time with the freestyle is that the contestants almost feel like they are let out of their cages since they can't do lifts
during the season and are so hell bent on being able to do that so they concentrate more on the wow factor of lifting because they finally get to do it. They
put the actual dancing on the back burner and just try to do all the flashy stuff. In reality, M&M could have done one of their dances during the season,
added maybe a lift or two and kicked ass. It certainly wasn't a bad freestyle but I have to agree with Carrie Ann that I really expected a punch with
those two and while good some of their season stuff was just far and away incredible.
J and H's freestyle was probably the best one but I'm not sure it merited the tongue bathing. I can't even put into words M and J's free style. M&M combined dances were the best IMO for the night but this was a pretty underwhelming finale. |

If I was one of those crazy marie fans I would be insulted by her freestyle last night.
She didn't even try. I thought it was beyond horrible. |

Well, I wasn't going to vote, but you guys got me worried that the judges might screw things up tonight by giving Helio some more ridiculously high scores,
so I gave all my votes to Mel (sorry Marie, I love ya, but last night you were truly horrible). You can still vote 'til noon eastern (I think it's
eastern) on the abc site.

Wow..did that episode suck completely w/ the lackluster or should I say completely disappointing and shitty free style round.
Mel/Max - That was a bunch of everything rolled into one minus any sort of fluidity and none of it was done very well. The hip hop was insanely off - they were hitting the moves differently and didn't go together, the randomness of some of the drop to the floor and roll around moves was just awkward and the lifts were weird. The ballroom shit thrown in was also out of no where. Jack of all Trades, Master of none. Way overscored drivel. Marie/Jonathan - 1st of all they totally stole that concept off of So You Think You Can Dance but on that show, they actually made a DANCE out of the concept. It was Contemporary and it sort of worked although was equally weird. Marie didn't really do much of anything but get carried around and then fall at the end. There was a move her or there but her scores should have been more like 4's and not 7 and 8's. Julianne/Helio - I felt like I was at a Bar Mitzvah and they were the hired dancers that come w/ the DJ. They were busting moves all over the place and Julianne was really good as usual especially making her own lifts but I felt like it lacked that extra something. Clearly the best free style of the night but still..just not amazing. _______________ I want to see Mel B win. Helio in second and Marie out in 3rd. Marie making the F2 will be like Jerry Rice all over again and make the comp a joke. I don't want Helio to win simply b/c I don't want Julianne to win. She's fantastic IMO but you can tell that winning means a lot to her and I sort of just want her to lose and not win 2 years in a row. |
