Okay, but imo lacking some of the dark humor of other Coen brother's stuff, although my husband disagreed with me on that. I was hoping for it to be a
little more Fargo-esque, I would have liked an extra quirky yet charming character or two, Tommy Lee Jones mumbles a lot. It did move pretty quickly for a
technically slow movie. Maybe one of those movies you need to see a few times to appreciate. Oh well, I am now looking forward to There Will Be Blood.

I saw the trailer for that, and it looked like Daniel Day Lewis has become typecast.

"No Country for Old Men" is one of those movies that just does not know when to shutup. It concludes with a bunch of metaphorical bullshit that Cormac McArthy probably threw into the end of his novel because he had dimentia while writing it and couldn't remember what the fuck he was talking about. Awwww. Somebody likes happy endings. Lol. |

In short, don't see this movie unless you liked The Departed and Mystic River...which in my opinion, were also pretty shitty movies for the same reason.lol, you're retarded. |

It was awesome. Best Coen bros. movie. Best movie of the year.
It probably won't be nominated for a single academy award. |

I think I missed Control. If so, I'm extremely pissed.

I just saw this with my brother and we've had numerous discussions about it. Anyone want to give their interpretation of it? |

It probably won't be nominated for a single academy award.Doubtful. Javier Bardem is a virtual lock, and it is one of the #1 "buzz" movies here. I think it is definitely in. |

Meh, I'm so whatever about this movie. I probably lost something cuz I got to the theater late and had to sit in the first row.

I think the sound was one of my favorite parts of the entire film. It truly set a fantastic, suspenseful mood.

A number of things. Good vs. Evil and morality. Consequence and fate. Aging and the realization of self.

i really want to watch this movie but the only person that would love to go with me is errrrrr older. that's not the problem. me thinks he wants me sexually and i don't want to like make the situation awkward and shit so i may just go watch it by myself or something. life is so complicated. |
