Pit Stop! The pit stop for this leg of the race is Haw Kham, the royal palace in Luang Prabang, a UNESCO city thirteen miles out of Vientiane. This beautiful palace is the second pit stop in a race around the world, the last team to check in here WILL be eliminated.

Detour: Flow or Blow (Hint FLOW IS FASTER!)

A detour is choice between two tasks, each with its pros and cons. In this detour, teams choose between Laotian Dance and a Laotian instrument.

Flow: In flow, teams run around the Buddha statue to the circle of dancers. After learning the steps to the Lum Vong, a traditional Laotian dance, they must then execute the dance with others, performing to the tempo of the music. This task is not difficult, but teams without any rhythm will find themselves in the back of the pack.

Blow: In blow, teams make their way on foot across the street to the Khene station. Khene is a traditional Asian instrument made from reeds and bamboo. Teams must learn and then create their own khene. Teams with the right craftsmanship and finesse will find themselves ahead of the pack.

Route Info: Teams must travel to Buddha Park outside the city of Vientiane. It is there where teams will find their next clue.

Roadblock: Who is ready to get hammered?

A roadblock is a task that only one person may perform. In this roadblock, that person must drink a beverage commonly seen around Laos: Beerlao. The person must serve five drinks to the patrons Using traditional Laotian phrases. Then, they must proceed to drink 7 BeerLao. When the person has drunk all 7, the bartender will give them their next clue. Keep in mind, the person will be DRUNK for the rest of the leg.

At roadblock:

Teams must now travel to Tbilisi, Georgia, the capital of a forgotten country. The country is the birthplace of Josef Stalin, and was a part of the former USSR. It is now the host country for this leg of the race.

There is only one flight available for this leg. Everyone must book tickets on the Lufthansa flight departing at 11:45 AM trip arriving at 3:00 PM PST. The plane will have a layover in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Once teams have landed, they must post *run out of airport and jump in cab (number 1-10)*. If you jump in a cab someone is already in, you must switch taxis.
