But then shouldn't the same thing be said about James or another other alpha male that made it to the merge, and how they only made it because they're tribe needed them? Survivor can never put everyone on a level playing field and while Courtney has an advantage right now (not even a big advantage), she had huge obstacles to overcome to make it to the merge in the first place, and the reverse is true for strong players. It evens out in a way. She shouldn't be penalized for her suckiness at challenges, because she made the best of it.

I agree with everything but the "huge obstacles" part CR. Fei Long only lost 1 immunity, and she had 2 shields for her that round. Leslie who was kidnapped which puts a target on her back (not to mention admitting to Todd that she had an idol clue and was given it by Jaime) and Jean-Robert who was intentionally trying to be annoying, accused Todd of being a smart player from the start, and then tried to blame him for the challenge. Definitely good that Courtney got in an alliance and let Todd know that JR was throwing him under the bus at that 1 round, but I don't know if I'd call that "big obstacles". The only big obstacle she had was her weakness (which is sort of her fault) and like you said, it's evened out by the advantage she gains at the merge. I definitely think Courtney gets a lot of weird love here, but to each their own. She's cool, but I don't really like her sarcasm and smack-talking as much as the other Sucksters. I like the nice "boring" quieter people better personally
