When people found out that TAR wasn't orginally on the Fall lineup alot of people were shocked and upset. TAR doesn't get the ratings that Survivor gets but its still a reality TV staple that has a huge following.

Posts: 2384 (11/12/07 11:05 AM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Also at 8 p.m. was week two of CBS' The Amazing Race 12 (Viewers: #3, 10.48 million; A18-49: #4, 3.1/ 8), which is vast improvement over one time wonder Viva Laughlin; These were the highest demo numbers for CBS for the night. Also no football overrun this time. Very solid numbers.

"The Amazing Race" delivered a 7.5/11 for CBS, topping ABC's broadcast of the American Music Awards. FOX dipped to fourth overall (but won the 18-49 demo) with "The Simpsons," 6.5/10, and "King of the Hill," 5.5/8. "Life Is Wild" scored a 1.1/2 for The CW.

Comparably, that was an improvement over the year-ago Eagles/Colts game (10.6/16 on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006) of 44 percent. Earlier in the evening on NBC was pre-game Football Night in America at a mere 3.0/ 5 from 7-8 p.m. CBS got a boost care of an approximate one hour football overrun at a dominant 15.4/24 in the overnights from 7-8 p.m. That led into 60 Minutes at an estimated 11.1/15 at 8 p.m. (#1), followed by The Amazing Race 12 (#3, 8.7/13) and Cold Case (#2: 9.2/14) from 9-11 p.m. Shark aired following Cold Case. Keep in mind that all results for CBS are approximate due to the football overrun. ABC kicked-off this last Sunday of the November sweeps with part one of a two-part Extreme Makeover: Home Edition at a third-place 6.3/10 from 7-8 p.m. That led into the regularly scheduled edition at an also third-place 8.7/13 at 8 p.m., followed by Desperate Housewives (#2: 11.1/16) and Brothers & Sisters (#3: 8.3/13) from 9-11 p.m. The strength of ABC on Sunday, of course, falls within the young adult demographics. Also demographically-driven Fox opened Sunday with repeats of King of the Hill (#3: 3.4/ 5) and The Simpsons (#3: 4.2/ 6) from 7-8 p.m. The regularly scheduled edition of The Simpsons was below average at a 5.7/ 8 at 8 p.m., followed by a repeat of The Simpsons (#4: 5.5/ 8), Family Guy (6.0/ 9) and a repeat of Family Guy (#4: 5.3/ 8) from 8:30-10 p.m. Last, and very last, was the CW's combination of CW Now (0.8/ 1), and repeats of Aliens in America (0.8/ 1), Life Is Wild (1.0/ 1) and America's Next Top Model (1.5/ 2). With the writers strike ongoing, you had better get used to the word repeat.

"Desperate Housewives" was right behind, posting an 11.6/17 for ABC. CBS dropped one spot to third with "The Amazing Race," 7.6/11. "Family Guy" and "American Dad" held steady for FOX, while an "America's Next Top Model" rerun came in at 1.0/1 for The CW.

I have never and probaly never will understand them, as hard as I try. If it helps, I think the race had 7.5/11 last week, so I'm guessing 7.6/11 is even better??..maybe?? lol
