Plus, didn't spoilers say Nathan/Jennifer don't make it to Croatia?
Not really. If there are 7 teams in Croatia, they could be the 7th one.

There was a photo of six boats, which is why I think it's final six.

^ Alaska. Though that is probably part of the Finale leg.
Most times Alaska and Hawaii stops are for tasks only. Along with territories like Puerto Rico / Guam as well as Canada (you can pre-clear at certain Canadian airports inbound), it is a way to clear US customs before the final US airport. That way sore losers can't complain that some lower 48 customs guy cost them the race and production has closer finishes (they hope). Only TAR1 had an Alaska pitstop (TAR2 had a Hawaii one but just tasks in Alaska on the final leg and TAR9 just had tasks the final leg there too). And I'm still not buying a second African country until it happens. I hope it does. Less Europe, more rest of the world please. But the two African countries thing seems based on one production person's comments only and he could have counted Burkina and Faso as to separate countries at first since he said he had to look it up. But there have been more and very public stuff about FIVE new countries. Unless they went to an African countrry they already visited in the past in which case the production guy should know that country already; then what about that statement? It seems to trump the "two African countries" allusion by that one single guy. So we already have five new countries withOUT another new African state. Ireland, Burkina Faso, Lithuania, Croatia and Taiwan. The first four are pretty darn solid so Taiwan would have to be bogus or a TARA2 location instead to allow a second African country under the more widely circulated "five new countries" bit. Or someone can't count any better than Zach in Switzerland. "3 + 2 + 1 = 5." Also India has been cited by some. Jaisalpour (spelling) was it? I know it has the Amber Fort (start the jokes now) and is in western Rajasthan in the desert area. I saw it as a major location on an Indian movie on PBS once. Just don't know how to spell it. Now is that confirmed or possibly a TARA2 location? TARA1 went to Calcutta and Delhi. TARA1 and TAR12 shooting at the exact same times makes spoilers more interesting this time around.

India was confirmed by Bertram in this video
interview posted by puddin at RFF, and was also mentioned in this AOL
Interview . The actual Indian location has not yet been determined.
Girdwood, Alaska was filmed on July 29th. I do NOT believe that Girdwood is the final Pitstop. But elsewhere in Alaska for a Pitstop (Anchorage???) remains one of the possibilities. There are multiple Taiwan/Taipei Vidcaps in the TAR Intro. And there was a "friend saw teams" sighting reported at RFF , although sadly without photos.

Yeah, greenraven, get with the spoilers.
From the opening screencaps:
The Taipei 101 tower in Taiwan. And I can't say I trust that Taiwan spoiler guy. For one, it contradicts the Croatia spoiler. And two, he posted it right after we found out that they go to Taiwan. If he posted his info a few days earlier, it would have been a lot more credible. |

Indian? It's from the intro flash. http://television.aol.com/feature/amazing-race-12-preview "After 12 seasons, you don't want the contestants to go into the race thinking, 'I know what's next,'" said co-executive producer Elise Doganieri. The show will crisscross the world, from Holland to India to Croatia, and head to a few off-the-beaten-track towns that will send viewers grabbing for their globes. |

Number 6.
TAR1 TAR4 TAR5 TAR7 TAR10 The color of the wall behind that guy is yellowish. Similiar to the Amber Fort type of color probably. |

i don't know any spoilers, but i would think the reason they go to india, so much it is probably one of the safer poorer asians countries (as compared to
countries like japan), and they might get good deals to locate legs there.

India is safer than Cambodia where there's land mines.
Has the race been to South Korea or Sri Lanka? |

^^yes. I still think that they are probably counting Taiwan as part of (People's Republic of) China, since the US is pretty neutral in actual recognizing it as an independent country. Race production has been known to get geography wrong, though; Season 5 was in no way 72,000 miles, and Guam should have been counted as Oceania for the continent count of TAR11. |

greenraven1 wrote:Well...they visited Delhi/New Delhi, Agra, Jaipur (Amber Fort is in Jaipur, right? A Detour in TAR 1 occurred here, yes?), Bikaner, Mumbai, Cochin's outskirts/Alleppey, Calcutta, Lucknow, Jodhpur and Chennai. There's not much places left to visit there, (Varanasi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, the Himalayan areas, Andaman/Nicobar Islands) although I won't complain about India being visited for a sixth time. I mean, China was visited 5 times (TAR 1, TAR 2, TAR 6, TAR 10, TAR 11). Wait...aren't there camels in India? I mean, Leg 3 is 99.9% sure in Africa, but isn't there a chance it could be in India? Maybe I'm just taking the whole criss-cross part in the interview too literally. |
