I am no studio fan, despite what some believe here. Obviously the studios are using this strike to "cut their losses" by terminating contracts and staff. Its the American way after all, but I was wondering, since you seem to know television, do you know how tv contracts are structured for shows not "picked up" for an entire season and such (I realize you are Canadian, but I suspect business is business.) Do you know? If employees get suspended, as are several of the cases here, do they have some fuzzy obligation? Or do they just move on? Are they totally released? Free. Never a chance of getting them back?
Do you know how that works?
