This just goes to show that Dick was always a piece of shit. He is white trash and a horrible father that has no parenting skills whatsoever. Its a miracle
Daniele and Vincent even made it past the age of 21 with that psycho for a father.

Wow...
He abandons both kids for his own mother to raise and years later, after letting his son live at his place for a couple of months, and going on a european vacation with his daughter, he wonders why his son needs attention? ugh...Vince get away from that immature and mental mess. This is a sorry state of affairs. Vincent you need to get as far away from this dysfuntional family until your father grows up. Dani is using him for the money you can bet your bottom dollar on that. Dick is a fool to not see that. When the money is gone I bet Dani will be gone again. A scratch in a car is so not worth talking to your kid like that. Words can never be taken back so take the high road and just don't respond, that
would get to Dick more than the being hateful. He seems to thrive on being hateful.

Wow. Young adults who don't clean up immediately when you ask them. Color me shocked. My YAs always snap to the minute I ask them to do stuff around the
house (except not). Actually I can envision this whole scene. Dick sounds like one of those "I'm so RnR" assholes who are actually OCD nancyboys
IRL more concerned with his 'stuff' than his son.
I can understand perfectly how all this went down, well, except for the part where ED keeps needing Vince's car, money, to buy toilet paper, etc. Did I miss something, didn't this asshat just win 500 boxes of ziti thanks to us? What the fuck does he care? Hire a maid, rent a car for yourself (Enterprise $20 a day!), learn to carry the money you need around with you at the appropriate times, hey how about writing a check? Ever hear of those? I bet part of this is that Vince did a great fucking job defending ED's honor all summer and was probably looking forward to reaping some of the benefits of the win. But Dick is just the type to make him crawl for a hand me down car, no trip to Europe like Dani, btw clean my house, bitch and don't have anyone over. I think ED owes Vincent much much more than that for what Vincent did to soften his image. I also get the no one's allowed to be in the spotlight except Dick vibe. He may resent Vincent's age, good looks and the not inconsiderable attention he now gets in his own right. ED makes a big point of Vincent wanting the attention that ED is giving Dani. Well, duh. Except that now Dani and ED are STARS! and she's actually speaking to him again, Vincent can take on the problem child role in the family dynamic. I know tl;dr, but Here's the dealbreaker for me, and I was an ED supporter all summer just for what little entertainment value he brought (he was too freaking repetitive and self righteous to be truly funny): I don't give a rat's ass how you like to treat people around you, and if your schtick is to be an asshole, fine. But the day I repeatedly scream "Fuck You!" in my kids' face-- I would fully expect them to lose all respect for me and never talk to me again and I wouldn't blame them one bit. And to do it over stupid shit like cleaning the house, buying TP etc.? Fucking clueless moron, is what he is. Remember, the reason Dani stopped talking to him was the charming "You're a bitch just like your mother" comment. I'm sorry, ED, but cut the kid some slack, quit acting that him behaving like every other 22 yr-old in LA is a crime against humanity, hire a maid, buy Vincent some good shit to THANK HIM and apologize, and maybe I'll stop thinking you're the worst fucking father on the planet. p.s. I mean, Vincey started the whole Dick love campaign across the boards, including here - unpaid, voluntary, and right on cue, as if he was told beforehand that AP will play a role in the season even before the season started! - so that plays a part in ensuring plenty of pro-Dick votes sent Eric's way. Way to go in rewarding the poor fellow with harsh words. No wonder poor Vincey feels slighted. His sister, who cut ties with Dick, went on a trip with Daddy of the Year while poor Vincey had to go buy toilet paper for Daddy Dearest. |

How very sad! I was a huge fan of Dick all summer, but Dick was so wrong in what he said to Vincent. Vincent WAS wrong to have such disregard for Evel's
apt, but Dick could have handled it with maturity. There is no need for Dick to treat Vincent like that.
Seems like Dick is doing so much for Dani and so little for Vincent. Daniele gets a brand new car and Vincent gets Dani's used car? Dani gets a free trip to Europe and Vincent gets berated? I hope that everything works out for this family. I was rooting for the repair of the broken father/child relationship during BB8 more than I was rooting for Evel to win the cash. |

Vince - if you need a place to hang out and get high and play Guitar Hero with your friends, come to my place. Dick, I know you are practicing tough love but Vince isn't feeling the love. Remember the way you are supposed to talk to someone you love, don't yell. That way he won't do the passive agressive retaliation of not buying toilet paper. |

I thought Vincent WAS invited to go to Europe, but he declined because he just got a job??? If that's the case, then it's not Dick's fault Vincent
didn't go. And if Vincent really wanted to go, he would've. Come on, he'll miss work to play Guitar Hero and shit all over the walls of the
shower all day (heh heh), so I think he'd miss it to go abroad.

Vincent is doing things that young adults do...drive their parents crazy. So what's Dick's excuse?
Why is he surprised at Vincent's behaviour? Isn't he the one who taught him to do drugs and left the parenting up to his mother? There is NO excuse for a parent to call their child those kinds of names. All sons and daughter are ungrateful selfish souls at one point in their lives but PARENTS need to set the example on how to behave and teach their children coping skills for life. The man never should have procreated. What a miserable excuse for a human being. |
