I love this team. I was a bit bored by them being so in love with each other in the 1st episode, but now they have entertainment value with Ronald, but with
Christina, I don't want to necessarily see them fail either. Hopefully, the next Flo & Zach, although the genders are reversed. Christina & Ron
<3!

I come from a mixed family (Asian mum, Australian dad) and even though I wanted to rip Ronald's lips off every time he spoke in this episode I can kinda
see where this is coming from. Asians are just nag nag naggy - I swear my mum goes off at me for every little thing. BUT I know she actually really cares and
it would be much worse (nag-wise) in Asian countries.
My dad on the other hand is extremely carefree but he hasn't really contributed much to my successes, e.g education where he's like "meh become a security guard like me" where mum's like "STUDY STUDY STUDY!". But as I've gotten older I've acquired the ability to know when to draw the line and tell my mum to chill out and STFU. Which Christina really needs to do. Eww that's the most I've ever written in a post. I feel like greenraven. P.S FREE CHRISTINA! |

I said that right after the airport scene.At the airport he was more like ChipA, given that he was nastily ranting about another team's method of buying tickets even though it didn't concern him at all. |

It's like watching Frank Costanza race, it's so odd with the droll monotone. He pisses me off, but for some reason, I just want them to stay.

Cut the guy some slack. He's 50+ years old and yah, it's hard for him to change the attitude he's become accustomed to probably because of culture. Speaking as someone with a VERY strick dad as well, I say he was not being abusive nor was he being an asshole. Yes, he could have handled the situation better but deep down, he probably just actually cared that Christina might have not been as ready to play the game. |

^ Who cares if his intentions are good. He is berating his kid in a demeaning way, thinks his way is the only way and is ruining her experience. If he is so
self unaware as he clearly is, someone needs to give him a wake up call and not Christina's little comments that do absolutely nothing. Someone needs to
tell him to STFU and maybe, maybe he will get that he's being an asshole.
Yeah, he's the Father, yeah he's older but he is also acting like a clueless, annoying child. Someone should time everytime he wants to stop and talk about being positive or having the right energy. They seem to stand around and waste precious minutes just doing nothing. I can only imagine what the cumulative amount of wasted time would be. |

I can only imagine what the cumulative amount of wasted time would be.I just rewatched part of this show last night (the Ronald parts, mostly), and ITA. They were out of the bike parking lot right ahead of Kate/Pat, and had just gotten directions, but instead of actually GOING anywhere, they just stood there with Ronald talking about boogers. I was like "Why are you just standing there??? SHUT UP AND GO!!!!" Ronald's droning blabbering is totally annoying, but every time he starts up again ("You see, the principal of the thing is...") I start cracking up. They need to stick around for a while. |

What a surprise with this duo. Totally expected the loving caring dad to be reserved and quiet.
I was initially hoping for a Lauren/Duke or Jim/Marsha re-do, but this is great for drama. Love that he is a total jerk. Yell at your family if you must, but WHO the hell is he to say anything to criticize the Grandson! STFU! Let the kid screw up and dig his own grave in the race. The guy's temper is obviously clouding his logic. |

bubs- That was actually the scene that stuck the most w/ me. They were just standing around in that parking garage w/ Ronald giving them a pep talk. It's
a race, maybe you guys should, I don't know..move.
Ridiculous. |

I don't think it's cultural | ||

I think he's in "boss" mode and treating her like an employee.
Which means that in addition to his parenting, his managerial skills could probably use some work. |

Hate this guy. He really did remind me of Chip at the airport, butting into Nicholas' and Donald's business.

What exactly was he freaking out about, anyway? Was he worried that Nicolas was tainting them all by association by being rude? That's something I'd
hardly think to worry about, let alone actually bitch and moan about.
Ronald = loony tunes |
