Sometimes a dance looks fantastic because the music is fun, fast-paced, energetic, and well-arranged -- but most of all it actually works with the dance. Some song choices are so bizarre they ruin the choreography entirely.

She creates it, but he's got to learn it, remember it and perform it. He doesn't even do that very well. They were all over the place in the quickstep, and he missed some of what she was trying to do. At one point she nearly fell. Have I gotten used to her, or is Samantha not as awful lately? Edyta wanted to kick her ass when she cut her off. I agree with naj that they probably have pushed up scores. 8s used to be pretty good, but they might as well get 5s. Although, the final 5 is much better than their typical final 5. If you consider Marie, or Cameron or Helio to be the weakest dancers, they are much stronger than Jerry Rice, Cliff Claven, Jerry Springer, Billy Ray, etc. Although it's sort of the problem that everyone is so neck and neck. The only person that has deservedly broken through is Mel B. Everyone else is pretty meh. Helio's quickstep was terrible tonight. His footwork wasn't there and it barely resembled a quickstep to me. Yuck. Cameron was waaaaay over-rated too. His cha-cha-cha was terrible! Marie's Rumba was pretty good IMO. As for her being a Sara Evans redux, she doesn't plan the music or outfit, so she really couldn't prevent a comparison. IMO she was way better and more lively than Sara was in her Jive, not that that is necessarily saying much. Jennie was slightly underscored. However, she was always behind Derek in the Jive and her Foxtrot did need a little more of a smooth touch, but I thought she at least needed a 27 or 28 for it.

MEL AND MAKS BABBBBBY!! If they don't win, I'll be pimping my votes out to the eldest dancer next season. I also think that Jennie is underscored a lot. I hope Marie and Cameron are in the bottom 2 with Cameron going home. I think Jennie will be in the bottom two ....so, I gave her my votes.

Admittedly, Helio's last dance was very good, but Mel's dance last week still holds as arguably the best of the season. The judges probably don't know they're just helping Marie (or do they?) and giving her more votes. It's between Jennie and Cameron, but Jennie has the next best track record behind Mel, she should definitely stay. If Mel/Maks don't win this, it'd be absurd. I love that they have a sense of humor and not only does Mel just bluntly kick so much ass, but Maks deserves to win one of these. Rawbed with Laila and Willa, and Tia was one of my favs from the second season, since my favorite movie is 'True Lies'.

I wouldn't count Marie out just yet, although I didn't like her attitude tonight. As we all know, the best dancers don't always win. Marie has a lot of fans and that just might keep her in longer than the better dancers.

I'd feel bad if any of the three women went though, I like them all. I'd love to see an all-female top three, but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen.

Well when the judges forcefeed to her the notion that she needs to be more confident, and the editing is trying to paint her as this scrappy underdog, you can't really blame Jennie herself. She's grown immensely as a dancer throughout the season, and I think knows it and owns it now. But when she continues to get criminally underscored, what's she to do?

In fact, he's quite a ladies man, and very athletic (he's a lot muscular/slimmer than he appears on camera). He's strict too and moves at a very fast pace for a teacher, and I didn't like him as a teacher as much as I liked Anna. Anna was firm and made sure every one kept up with the steps. She was cool about it though. Whereas Jonathan liked to call people out during class, Anna was very understanding about how not everyone learns at the same pace and liked using the single person in an odd-numbered class as her partner.

Something that others have mentioned - Julianne does a great job at covering up her partners weaknesses...whether it be dramatic cape waving or a longer dress that makes it hard to see Helio's feet, she does it.

Mel deserved a 10 from her. Her dance was at least as good as Helio's - in fact, it was probably better.
