I'm glad they didn't give the star to that other girl since her little sister already won $20K. Greg deserves the star more than anybody.
There's a contradiction in there somewhere Sig.

I just love little Alex. Such a sweetie. I also love our Shakespeare quoting pimp. And Laurel... I could not believe the way she belted out Amazing Grace. I
think that was my favorite part of the show last night... the way they panned the camera around and the looks on the kids' faces as they watched her sing,
I found that really moving. I'm not much of a kid person, but this show is making me like a lot of these kids.

Funny how they show Divad as someone who nominates herself week after week, and gets upset when she doesn't win the gold star. And as I read more about
the problems with parents after the show wrapped it seems Divad's mother was extremely involved with trying to discredit this show. I'm guessing
potato girl doesn't get 20 grand

After watching the challenge multi-times...
This challenge is clearly talior-made for Green Team, although it's gross. Green team don't have the physical powerness, or being really smart on challenge. Most viewers should agree that they do have maturity, which is why they can handle being labours for that long, which is also the force of endurance in this chewing challenge. As much as yellow kids (and red kids) like gums, no way thay can handle the endurance of chewing for an whole hour, needless to say about the gross of the after-chewed gums. However, the older and more muture green kids can. |

I fully expect Divad to start Bonaza on fire next week, then sit outside of town, in a pile of potatoes, rocking back and forth and laughing maniaclly.
*bwahahahahahah, Burn Bonanza BURN!* |

* So glad The Green Team got Upper Class and won the challenge. Green Team is by far the Best team in terms of having the best,
most likeable kids. There is not one Green Team member that we have seen I don't like and I think we have pretty much seen them all except for, I want to
say his name is Hunter but he seems find.
* So glad Kennedy won the gold star and the fact that Olivia was even a contendor is ridiculous. Her comedy routine was shit on a stick but the kids seems to like it but other than entertaining them during the talent show, she's pretty much a raving, self important bitch who seems to rub others the wrong way. If council was thinking about putting physical strength/work ethic aside and go for someone that makes others smile, Olivia is as far from that person as possible. * Loved that we got to see new kids tonight but there are still some we haven't seen much of like Madison, that other girl who's picture was posted the same time as hers in this thread and there's a little blonde haired/blue eyed yellow girl that looks really young that I saw at the council meeting and have no idea who that is. She looks like a younger version of Randi. * Alex the one toofed wonder LOVE and damn is Jarrod smart. At his age I was lucky if I could get down my 20 spellinh words of the week. It shows you what kind of children they chose. Kids that act and have the mental capacity of their age would have prob. died by now on their own. * Am I the only one that feels like Blaine is getting cheated out of a star? It's always Greg this, Greg that but Blaine does everything Greg does and w/o the 'I'm a badass' attitude. He keeps getting looked over b/c he's Greg's sidekick. Oh and Greg in the previews? Gets angry and resorts to bodily harm threats and violence as if he's tough shit. How pathetic. * If this is Taylor's redemption edit - Fuck the editors. In one episode she won't do any work and I mean any work, the next ep we don't see her at all and now all of a sudden she's doing laundry. It feels like there's an episode missing. |

Bitch. I was surprised he didn't mention it to the council. That little Kelsey might be one of Taylor's "mean girls" but she is still a sweetie and I couldn't believe her piano skills. Unreal. And then when Laurel got up to sing I was a little weary...but when she sang that first note...damn, girl. She was on key throughout the whole song. Aside from that, Laurel is one cool kid with a smart head on her shoulders. I'd be proud if she was mine :) |

Pretty good episode. Three things:
1. Kenedy's mom is really annoying. 2. Olivia's standup was NOT funny. I think they all laughed to be nice. 3. Something tells me Divad doesn't have very many friends - in Bonanza City or in real life. |

Man, that gum challenge! I'm willing to bet that even the 21+ yr old contestants on other reality shows would be grossed out, if presented with that
challenge.

Divad is ridiculous. Either they're editing out the hours and hours of work that she seems to be implying that she does each day or this girl is totally
clueless. All the people who have won it so far have had a good attitude.
The annoying thing is I think she'll eventually win it so the kids can be all "finally! It's your week! hooray!" Agreed on Olivia not deserving it. I dont think the girl who did win it did all that much to deserve it either though. The whole "give it to her so she'll feel noticed" thing was week. $20k to feel noticed?! Laurel needs to win a gold sta. She deserves it much more than most of the kids plus I want to hear her say "sta" a lot. |

When I read about Jenkem, I immediately thought of Kid's Nation and wondered if it was one of those kids that figured that out.

2. Olivia's standup was NOT funny. I think they all laughed to be niceI don't agree. I think you need to remember the age group that was watching this and the type of comedy that they've seen in their life. What children and tweens find funny is very different than what adults or even those a little older find funny. |

I'll agree that Olivia's comedy was very unfunny but she was gearing her act to her audience. Kids like that shit plus she was poking fun at others
& they enjoyed that. Especially Anjay. Plus her delivery & timing was pretty good. She sounded like many of the comics on Last Comic Standing (sort
of).
I loved Jared's comment on Greg & Blaine's act. "Their act wasn't that great but it was good watching them try to hide their Fruit of the Looms in those dresses." (Or something like that.) |

Olivia's act was more of a roast than a stand up routine. I'm sure once she steals her sisters 20 grand she'll get herself some lessons.

Eh, I suppose. :shrug. At least she was confident though and really seemed to get into it. Still, though, what is so funny about saying Anjay's always smiling? I don't get it...2. What children and tweens find funny is very different than what adults or even those a little older find funny. Omg, they sang Old McDonald (and not very well IMO) while Taylor held a chicken. You can see it from the CBS site Kid Nation clips section. Was smart of editing to leave it out. |

This episode was deadly boring. Deadly, deadly boring. I could only half-watch it. These kids have been giving up every cool and fun prize since the beginning.
And now they're bored. Too damn bad. You mean you're still not enjoying those Bibles you selected???
And you can tell ten minutes into the show that Kennedy wins the gold star. The editors always show the winner over-the-top positive like they're a modern-day Jesus Christ. And the runners-up are often shown more negatively and are called "lazy" in some fashion at the 45-minute point. And then everyone rushes onto the board and talks about who deserved it. Why bother? The editors run a tight ship. The talent show was an abomination last night. Seeing kids mangle the works of Chopin and Shakespeare isn't fun. Seeing Olivia translating her daily act into a comedy act was excruciating. I would rather watch an hour of Dane Cook. And why were the kids laughing? Were they special? Speaking of special, let's talk about Kennedy who just spun around like a downy retard. That's not funny. That's sad. And when she got the phone call to talk to her equally downy mother... more awkwardness and pathos. That was just before the host creamed all over Laurel's song. "Oh my god. That was the most amazing thing ever. I must paint you nude." |

The most frequently heard comment at my house during Kid Nation..."who is that?" Kennedy? Natasha? Migle? Chunky girl with pink wavy hair?
