I think CBS would go for a March BB, though it probably would be accellerated if they did it so it would finish during the "May Sweeps" to get the
house ready for the regular "BB" summer run in late June-early July.

Cal at that point). |

Jesus Christ I wish you fuckers could take this shit to one thread! Yall are like little fucking babies!!
Back to the subject Big Brother Starts in March? I read on another site that there is a possibility of it starting in January! I was trying to get the article to bring it here but that site is down right now . Did anyone else read this anywhere?? It's back Julie Chen picture! LOL My summer guilty pleasure could be back as soon as this January. Variety reports that CBS is quietly putting together a new season of "Big Brother" due to the writer's strike. Nobody knows how long the strike could go on for. It could go on months and networks are looking to reality shows to fill the gap.
There's also rumors this time around the BB house will be filled with celebrities since a lot of them won't have anything to do due to the strike.
The show's resident robot, Julie Chen, will also be back as the host. Yesterday on the "Early Show"
one of the hosts said that BB could be back soon later than later. This comment made Julie roll her eyes and say "she hopes the strike is settled
soon." OUCH!
Celebrity Big Brother?! I think by "celebrities" they mean "has-beens" and former reality stars. Let's
see....Britney isn't doing anything. Dog Chapman isn't doing anything. Pete Doherty isn't
doing anything. Michael Vick isn't doing anything. Paris Hilton isn't doing anything. Cast them, lock 'em up in
the house and keep them there forever!

With Weeds and Californiacation over, I guess Showtime will have plenty of room for BBAD.

....... Elsewhere, networks are reaching for their stockpiles of game shows and other reality series, and will probably move or expand newsmagazines to fill empty slots. CBS is gearing up for its first in-season cycle of Big Brother, which would start in February or March, three times a week. The network also ordered a 13th cycle of The Amazing Race, which had planned only one contest this season. |

Big Brother fans, prepare to celebrate the Writers Guild strike. Source say CBS is quietly ramping up production on a ninth cycle of the Big Brother reality show to begin airing in late January or early February if the strike persists well into the Christmas holidays. http://www.tvgrapevine.com/index.php?topic=16454.0 |

The fact is, January, February, or March, it makes little difference when they set a start date. It really will only depend on when they run out of original
shows, and what the status of the strike is. I would imagine that they can get the show up and running within a couple of weeks once they decide to do it.

Idol will be on Tues at 8 and Wed at 8, but it's usually extended to 2 hours at the beginning each night.
I see them putting BB on either Monday at 8, Tues at 9, Wed at 8 and maybe Friday or Sunday. Wed at 8 is where Kid Nation is, so they'll need a hole to fill, but it will get crushed by Idol. Thursday's will be pretty much off-limits, as CBS has Survivor/CSI/Without a Trace. |

Thursday's will be pretty much off-limits, as CBS has Survivor/CSI/Without a Trace.Hmmm....they are doing BB in the winter EXACTLY because they won't be able to run CSI or Without a Trace or any other scripted show for that matter. So there is the room on Thursdays. Or any other day of the week. |
