I don't know. No one will say. I missed the second episode and didn't hear anything about them. Did they die?

For all you asking about the zombie guys, they never made the finals. It looked like they made it on the audition show but at the end they announced the
finalists & they weren't mentioned. It pissed me off because I sorta liked them.

Not that anyone cares about this show much, but someone posted the 2 bands who apparently leave this week over at VFTW. Not sure this is 100% accurate, but we
did have an accurate tip last week, so I tend to believe it. The bands who apparently go home are:

Totally random, but I just saw a commercial for that Pageant Place show on MTV and the background music was Future Ex-Boyfriend by Rocket. Glad to see someone
out there likes them enough to use their music.

My problem with Rocket is that they had the name of the band before they even had a band. i.e. they started the band I'm sure without even knowing how to
play.
Sure some bands have made it without much musical ability but they made up for it with creativity and originality. I don't see any of that from Rocket. |

^^Are you asking what Elton John song Rocket did? If so, it was Rocket Man, last week.

Heckagirl631, i was actually asking what artist was being covered for the
entire show (elton) but thanks for the further info.......
tonight, frankllin bridge - boring version of big shot. missed lyrics no style til the masturbatory end cliff and old 7 ? - you may be right - boring yet arranged into their own country stylings. mile highs - bland. i really hate that they are on this show. |

Nobody's wowed me yet. And why no original songs this week? And only 1 hour tonight. Guess it's because of low ratings.

Right back on track for the win. I love the lead singer, I love him so much. Wow, Sixwire was awesome. I'm starting to believe they might actually be the last country act standing.

The last 5 bands were all better than the first 3. Still pretty mediocre. Hubby likes Light of Doom. He says give them 5-10 years and they will be the next
Guns n Roses. Time will tell. They do have the rock star moves down. Not surprised Rocket and the Muggs are gone. Death by lead singer as Dicko said.

I really like the Clark Brothers. The lead singer is cute & he's got an awesome voice!

Anyone that can't see The Clark Brothers owned last night needs to get to a doctor right away.
dotdotdot and tres bien have very weak vocalists Franklin Bridge sucked Old 7's were okay, but didn't blow me away Sixwire was good, but they started off kind of shaky for me LOD, still say they are a novelty act Denver should just go to Vegas and get the hell off my tv, they make me crave Geritol. |

While I had to watch the show with the spoiler knowledge that I'd be losing my TNGAB girlfriends Rocket, I still enjoyed this much more than last week:
-dot dot dot really pulled it together - they were dead on; sounded good; looked good; were focused - about time -LOD - that was hysterical; i'm hoping vftw keeps them afloat until at least final 3 -tres bien - i thought that was a great arrangement - they bent it right into their style - and when their lead singer goes to higher octaves it's good stuff -Denver - best musicianship by far - the horns were killer - too bad Denver has negative charisma and can't sing any better than a drunk guy doing corporate karaoke -Franklin Bridge - i don't get why anyone likes them; hate their lead singer's voice; arrangement was terrible -#7, too cutesy, time for them to leave -sixwire: not my thing at all but they're polished and i assume they'll win, yawn - fat sawyer & co just bore me -clarke's -- not as good at sixwire or #7 in my eyes -- and not attractive either I think the final 4 predicted above is probably right - LOD, Clarke's, dotdotdot, and Sixwire -- sadly if one of those is wrong I'm sure it's the dots As for next week I couldn't be less excited -- leader of the pack? hound dog? poison ivy? they should be finding bands/themes that are MORE contemporary and relevant, not less -- this will favor tres bien (close enough to 60's pop to be easily adapted to their style) and Denver (some of these are wedding type songs). They really needs to move to broader themes like "80's" or "90's" or, ideally, "heavy metal" or "hard rock" (but since that favors LOD i doubt it) but instead i'm expecting country sooner than later. |

I was in the hospital having a sleep study done last night but thank god my suite had a nice TV so I got to catch this only I wasn't at my PC to share as
the show aired.
Anyhoo, I still liked Number 7. Yes, I'm still a heavy metal, alternative gal but they are so endearing & I like how they groove together. BUT, last night they were almost too vanilla. Good commercial jingle music though. 3Dot tightened up a lot. They're sounding much better & less affective. Denver's got a nice sound band-wise but singer dude has to go. Just like the 2 that went home after being killed by lead singers, Denver will probably go next week too. Loved the guitar work by Franklin Bridge but their arrangement is still too busy. Sixwire, pretty solid. I think they may win. The rest.....meh. Go VFTW! Give those big headed kids even bigger heads then smash them & their egotistical parents into atomic particles. |

Page 3?! So is the audience down to 13 from 300? I love this show. I saved my dvr so I can watch the Clark Brothers again & again - they're not even my favorite, but their version of "She's Always a Woman" was really fantastic. #7 is my favorite - love bluegrass, but I missed the banjo this week. Did they not do originals because the remaining bands only have a limited number of their own songs & they don't want to run out before the finale - if the show even makes it that long? |
