From a pre-race perspective, I like the following teams; Team Singapore (by default), Sophie/Aurelia (1/2 singapore :P), Henry & Terri, Ann & Diane and
to a certain extent, Daichi & Sawaka.
And apparently, there's going to be 15 countries visited this time. Eagerly anticipating how they're going to make it through that in 11-13 legs. (= |

Just finished watching the racers revealed. What is this? 80% mactors? That's fucking ridiculous. I also hear mainly Australian, American and Canadian
accents. Seriously. There's even one French woman.
Hated Edwin and Monica on first sight. And then they started talking and hated them even more. How did some of these fake-ass people make it on the show with those badly acted and badly scripted audition tapes? Most of them bored me to tears. Aside from all of those nitpicks, I think I liked Terri and Henry the most. They seem incredibly fun. So many female teams. Natasha and Paula, the sisters and Aurelia and Sophie look interesting. The Japanese brother snd sister could be good too. Some mactors are okay. Making them a majority of the cast was a mistake. And another thing, Michael McKay is boring. We don't need to hear his "in-depth" analysis of all the teams when there's nothing much to say about most of them in the first place.

LOL, no, you are not. You are boring ass Asian guy who happens to be from Canada and Asian girl who think this is a step forward in a relationship is to go on the Amazing Race. Again, hated 80% of the teams due to the mactor issue. And if you look closely, about 80% (same amount of mactors) are involved some sort of entertainment show. Really, what the fuck is this, the Amazing Race Asia Z-Celebrity List race? WTF happened to this ordinary people really want the experience/need the money/need the money to get a 20 carack (about 300lbs) crack rock? Well, I have narrowed down to just simple two teams. Daichi/Sawaka (for largest breakout of the fight) and Terri/Henry. The others, if you win unless I change my opinion on you, I hope your money burns faster than you can say, "Next Week on Kid Nation". |

See, I wouldn't mind mactors who are the absolute nobodies - the wannabe ones who don't even make the Z-list. But these mactors are VJs and beauty
pageant queens and actresses... who are probably already somewhat known in their own countries. And the worst part is some of them are totally boring.
Some of the "rejected" audition videos looked GREAT. Now those people actually looked like they'd be awesome racers or at the least, awesome characters. I think if this season bombs, I hope Michael McKay will learn one important lesson: "Balance the ordinary folks with maybe four mactor teams." Hopefully, they will let Izad in next season. Come on, I mean, he helped TV ratings booster, Charla and Mirna so that sort of counts as some sort of merit. I think I've gotta wait another 2 years till I can partake in this race with a buddy of mine. Also, I kinda did not like Marc and Rovilson's audition tape caused it was too professional looking. Goddamnit, it looked like one of those 2 hour 400-million dollars movies. It's cheating really. I mean, other videos looked quite grainy and of mediocre quality except Edwin/Monica (after the Rob/Amber line, I changed to CNN, pissed that they would even say that, not even fucking close). Well, we'll see how the race goes and let's see from there. See you guys soon and be sure to watch "The Amazing Race Asia", Season 2, 8pm GMT+8 starting this November 22nd. Only on AXN. I finally watched the Meet The Racers episode.. I'm trying to keep an open mind, but they're all very very meh too me with a few exceptions.. Terri/Henri, the Singaporean guys.. We ll see how it goes once the season starts 3 weeks from now. |

Just watched it...
 ... Please, let the season itself be less of a
let-down.
Mactor after mactor after mactor, each more tedious than the last. How did these people even get picked? Most of the audition videos they picked were dreadful... I can't even remember what their names were, but the couple with the girl who won Fear Factor and sucks at speaking English? "Believe it or not, we met... at a bar!" OMGWTF!! Amazing! I can see why they stood out against the rest! And why does every all-girl team look exactly the same as the others... it's going to take me like three weeks to even be able to differentiate between them. My favourites were, quite easily, Henry & Terri... but especially Terri, she seems like she'll be fun. And I'm still rooting for Daichi and Sawaka, though I was disappointed their fist-fight wasn't covered in their intro. Anyway, they seem less fake than the others. I'll also go for Team Deafness because at least they stood out. |
