I think we got a clear idea -- almost too clear -- of how PG plans to win. She recognized the odd situation they were in, that whichever tribe wins immunity is likely to ultimately be disadvantaged by losing allies from over on the other tribe, and she made a bold gamble to try to stay in the game. Of course, her gamble only gets them back to even numbers, potentially, at the merge, and depends on their former tribe mates remaining loyal and returning back to them.

It's a tough little gamble she made. But is there a better one for her?

On the one hand, they went into a lot of detail in showing PG and Jaime's strategy, and making PG out to be the real mastermind behind it. On the other, they added a lot of doubt, showing how they alienated Erik by not including him, and that it was somewhat of a longshot numbers-wise anyway.

Meanwhile, we see Todd pursuing the logical counterstrategy, trying to become buddies with his new tribemates, which would obliterate PG's strategy if successful. You really get the feel from those Todd sequences that he's on top of his game.

So which is the most likely winner edit -- a bold strategy that is a longshot, and filled with doubt, but is also laid out in detail for the viewer? Or a skillfully pursued strategy that is given less screen time, but is much more plausible at this point?

One thing I think we know for sure is that PG will fight to prevail in this game, and that she's pretty sharp.

Yeah, PG and Jaime both had negative episodes. More of the negative focus fell on Jaime, but there was plenty for PG. I thought the strategy side of it was laid out pretty clearly, though. I think they went back over it a couple times, almost like they were making sure people understood. We also saw that PG knows it to be a longshot, but still her best shot. Then we got the extra doubt (and more negativity) with Erik not being told about it and starting to doubt his alliance-mates.

Finally, we got the drama over whether Aaron or James would be the boot. They went to some lengths to portray Aaron as the more dangerous player, that he was still scratching and clawing to put a strategy together, while James had checked out. And then PG's alliance makes the right choice in eliminating the bigger threat.

On the whole, I didn't get the feeling that this dramatically lessen's PG's chances. It's a story arc that can go in impressive directions for her. They seemed to go some lengths to lay the groundwork for that.
