Agreed. Obviously Britney's "rival" was Aguiliera.
Britney's rival is, and always will be, anyone with talent.

Hi,
Great posts on the show. What is a ringer though? |

^^^^ A ringer is someone who is brought into a competition, etc. who is CLEARLY superior than the other ones which more/less is done to help their team (if a
team sport) It's like if Dunkin Donuts had a baseball team and Barry Bonds was suddenly hired at Dunkin Donuts and put on their team.
In this case when we've been using the term ringer it is for those DWTS contestants who clearly have a strong background involving dance. Boy band contestants, Mario Lopez and Cheetah girl for example |

Not surprised to see Floyd go. I was happy to see Cameron and Edyta get the encore dance. Enjoyed seeing Cheryl and Drew dance together again.

While no fan of Sabrina, she is far from the only "ringer" in this cast. Jennie Garth took dance lessons for many years and even once owned her own
dance studio. I may be wrong, but I seem to also remember seeing Jane some years ago on a talk show stating that she had taken ballet at one of Britain's
more prestigious schools.

I don't agree with 'music switching'. If Jane can do it, they should all be able to do it based on what they are comfortable with. I'm not being heartless, it's just the nature of the show. I think Marie needs to do: "I'm a Little bit Country, I'm a little bit Rock n' Roll' (the infamous duet on the Donny/Marie show). P.S. I just spoke with a friend and we were commenting on how Jane is getting all the ballerina-type dances. She needs to pull a fast one to convince
me. |

Uhh, correction, he is well liked in DALLAS. The rest of the state hates the man, especially San Antonio, and to a
smaller extent, Houston.

It seems like a lot of folks are forgetting this is a TV show, designed to get ratings. It's not a
contest pitting equal competitors against one another. The stars a cast based on their ability to bring in ratings, nothing more, nothing less. If they could
get the highest rating having a professional ballroom world champion cast as a "star," then they would. There are no rules against having previous
dance experience. Clearly, being athletic and having a sense a rythem are big plusses to doing well here.
For me, I think the women were well cast this year. Jenny, Marie, Sabrina, Jane are all extremely likable. Mel B isn't quite as likable, but she can definitely dance. The men are much less interesting. The soap star is too much of a pretty boy. The boxer was obnoxious - but clearly he's there to bring in an audience very different from me. The billionaire dude is annoying. I mostly like the race car driver - and I find what her name's chreography the most fun to watch. I love how Lenny always critiques the dancer and his/her choreography too. I appreciate that. |

Ashly's married to a producer on DWTS... I haven't seen Maks g-friend in the audience
All I know is this did a lot to rally the Maks/Mel troops for next week! |
