If you make $100,000.00 in Seattle and move to Dallas, you will only need to make $90,636.36 ($9,363.64 less) to maintain the same buying power.

I made a general statement that stands. There are probably cases where the salary is on a higher curve than the average -- big football towns where coaching and stuff pay off. Or places where hazard pay is necessary. in general, I am right.
