As someone who grew up watching Bob, it's just hard seeing someone else host, regardless of how great they may be. Still, Drew needs to relax a bit, slow
it down some... he could go to the Bob Barker school of Milking Drama. As irritating as Bob's delay tactics could be at times, it's better to have some
sort of dramatic pause. I hope Drew grows into this dramatic aspect. Otherwise, he's pretty decent.

I wonder if it's in Drew's contract to mention spaying & neutering?

So far Drew's strong point seems to be the humor he brings to it. He acts like a fan who won a contest to host the show, and rather than take it seriously
he points out little absurdities. "Let's walk down the Golden Road...you'll notice there's no golden road, but we call it Golden Road
anyway." (what happened to the road, anyway?) "All your sisters in Arkansas...that could mean a lotta things, couldn't it."
When the Clock Game came up I thought, okay, here's a real test, to see how he gets through this. And though the contestant didn't exactly play it the traditional way, Drew still got through it with no problem. I like him and I think he's gonna do just fine. I wonder how many old people show up and sit down and get confused when Drew comes out. |

As a die-hard fan of the show, I think the games and the contestants still make the show worth watching even if Drew is a little awkward. It seems at times as
if he's not really sure how all the games work. He describes every game he introduces as "easy." I enjoyed his "rooting" for the
players. I also like that he seems bemused by the whole process. He must not have watched TPIR much during the Bob years.
He'll get better over time and hopefully the show will last. I think the show became more rushed over the years, because Bob was getting older and they kept the pace moving. When Bob was younger there was much more banter between Bob and the audience and contestant's row. Maybe now with a younger host, they'll go back to that a bit when Drew gets more comfortable. |

so many people are complaining that 'he isnt doing it like Bob'

Drew handled the Punch Game very well. That was another big test, and he passed.

Let's see if Drew passes the sexual harassment of the Barker's Beauties test. That's the real test!

They had Hole-in-One today. Drew did the inspirational putt, and missed, admitting that he doesn't play golf. So, uh, why are they continuing with the
game? It was Bob's game, and if Drew isn't interested in it, they should retire it.

I don't know Anti, he did sorta OK on the inspiration putt. He had to kick it in but he could've done worse.
In other Drew news, he's done a video promoting legalizing medicinal marajuana. I love it that he's so 'I don't give a fuck about my reputation'. |

So, are we all still watching TPIR despite BB's departure. I was watching today and thought that Drew is now catching his stride and is having alot of fun
with the crowd and the contestants can 'freak' on him and not have to worry about breaking him. I think he is doing a great job now... anyone else?

I'm still watching but it's certainly not because of Drew. He speaks way too fast. I'm getting tired of his lame jokes already too. Like when
someone on contestant's row bids a dollar he always comments about using strategy. Clever. NOT.
Just let one of the models or the announcer do the hosting. I only watch for the games & prizes anyway. Part of the joy has gone. |

I still like it, but they play Plinko way too much.

I got a chance to watch it for two days now.
Drew is actually better than Bob in a few respects. Lots of banter, lots of humor. I actually laugh during the show, and it's more enjoyable. The casting of contestants is pretty good. |

Today's show:
- Safecrackers: lost - Money Game: lost - Grand Game: lost - wheel: $1K win on two spins - Clock Game: won first prize after 28 seconds. Lost second prize. - Card Game: lost - Squeeze Play: lost - Showcase: double overbid Has to be one of the worst shows ever. |

Ugh, I'm trying to deal with Carey, but it's just....bleh. I would've preferred the show being respectfully ended.
