$50K deposited in 1970.
$55K (just say $5K in interest) removed in 2007.
That $55K deposited in 1975.
If he goes back to the bank in say 2005, would there be close to $105K?

Oh yeah, that works.

I'd also like to see some amusing unintended consequences.
Like he could explain the concept of a DVD player to some guy in a bar- and come back to the present to find out that BetaMax now has a virtual monopoly in the DVD industry. |

Hopefully Journeyman will go back in time and talk someone out of having an abortion who will grow up to save the life of a teacher who will inspire a network
executive into having pro Journeyman feelings!

Well fuck, I'll just claim this thread as my own.
I like the "Lydia has him as her assignment" idea. What would make that cool is if it turned out Lydia was assigned to McKidd all along. Like travelling Lydia somehow kept McKidd from doing something stupid in his childhood, etc. |

Life is good - I enjoy that.
But props to Lucius Vorenus being back on my screen. He's the man. |

He was an idiot to accept her watch. It was obvious Katie would find it. Katie now knows that not only does he see Livia when he jumps, but that Livia
isn't dead. That doesn't make a good marriage. Plus, what a convoluted mess of relationships they have. Wife dated brother, he dated Livia. Livia
dies (supposedly), wife breaks up with brother then dates/marries him. Livia is back in his life. Just how many episodes before Katie leaves him is the
question.
Their son wasn't in the last episode, was he. |

StarrEise wrote:NO! She is awesome. I love her and the wife vs dead ex-gf drama she brings to the table. Plus, I want to hear more abut her story as well. I thought this last episode was really good. I think for the most part this is a good show to "drop in" on at any point - each episodes has its own story - but then again, other people are posting that they're doing just that and are confused, so what do I know. Yeah, there's the backstory with the wife/brother/gf but I don't think that takes up too much - or does it? I really hope this show finds its audience. Maybe it will get lucky and stick around for a full season, since none of the other new shows are doing much better. Also it would be cool if they did some more filming locally and I got to be an extra or something. Very few SF based shows bother actually coming here. Bionic Woman doesn't even try to pretend. BTW, a girl has been keeping a funny blog here about Journeyman in SF. (safari won't give me the option to instert a hyperlink) http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/sfgate/author?blogid=3&auth=178

OK so we don't get to find out what the Asian chick wound up doing. I was kind of hoping for a plot twist where she still died but a different person was
charged with her murder.
Cool scientist phone call back in 1998. The Spindoctors and Sex and Candy music choices made me laugh. |

Cool scientist phone call back in 1998. So he can get present day phone calls while he's back in time? That's kind of different. Now he can keep in touch with Kate while he's
journeying.

Kevin McKidd seems older and more mature than the actor who plays his brother. Bad casting choice on the big bro. |

The scientist called him in 1998, implying that he had contacted the scientist in 1998 on some other "travel mission"Cool scientist phone call back in 1998. |

PAPAYOKE wrote:from the POV that Dan is supposed to be younger, i agree! Otherwise, i think how cool it is they found people with similar features to play siblings. still can't stand the wife. hate to sound so shallow, but they really should've cast a hotter chick. I'm also trying to work out their ages and the timeline... in the last epi, when he was in 1989, the wife complained about him seeing her age 16. so she was born 1973 or so... to me she looks a lot older than 34. as of 1998 she's been dating the bro for 4 years. She and Dan have been married 7 years. So within the space of 2 years she dumps the bro and marries Dan... she doesn't waste time. Looks ike the wife and brother are going to be spending more time together now.... hmm It was also funny to see Livia get testy with her in 1998! Anyway this is one of the only new shows I really look forward to each week... I can't wait to see each new episode.

I love the older brother actor, I just don't buy that he's the older brother. Or maybe Dan (is that the leaper's name?) has just lived a hard
life.
The plotlines are okay, but I'm getting tired of the 'uh-oh, Katie's mad again!' storyline. Before they even showed scenes for next week, I asked, "What's she gonna be pissed about next time?" and sure enough, he loses his kid! That ought to get her good and pissed. I don't like that angle at all. You'd think she'd be past the whole 'You don't support me, you're never here for ME!' routine, especially since he CAN'T FRIGGIN' HELP IT! I dunno...I'll keep watching it because there's nothing else on and because I'm hoping for a Pullo cameo somewhere down the line. (Pullo is still HOT HOT HEAT.) |

The interesting part was when he got a phone call in 98 from the scientist back in the present. The scientist was responding to his initial call so there must
have been some weird tachyon thing going on in the background in the lab where the scientist was for that to happen.
Dan really can't win. His wife is going to get pissed anyway whatever happens. Between the constant disappearances and talking to Livia, there's too much stress. |

Did anyone else notice when Dan first appeared in last night's episode, when he popped up from the church bench, the minister immediately said:
"Oh boy." That was Sam's line at the beginning of every Quantum Leap episode. I wonder if the
writer's did that on purpose.

weird... it turns out the actress playing the wife IS only 34 in real life, and the actor playing the brother is a full 6 years older than "Dan." I
guess the actors just don't age that well.
