Obviously there is some delay between the giving of the gold star and the phone call. I wonder when they do the reshooting of the parents answering the phone.

Am I the only one who thinks Greg is not undeserving of a gold star? He's got a lousy attitude and has annoyed other kids but he's still doing his fair share of work. The council has to recognize him eventually.

I'm of mixed feelings about Mallory getting the star. Although it doesn't seem fair to Morgan or Greg or other kids who have done more than her, she is doing what she can at the age she is. Giving her the gold star also sends the message that anyone of any age can get a gold star, which is very much indicative of how the real world demonstrates egalitarianism. The problem is giving it to her on her birthday. The message of fairness is lost if people think that was the main reason she got it.

It's obvious Taylor's crying was edited down quite a bit. She probably felt sorry but she's still young and immature. She's going to go back to her normal attitude the very next day. It's not a matter of if she gets voted out, but when.
