There has been a lot of negativity on the BB board towards Daniele and I feel it's is very much undeserved on her part. Quite often the HG are criticized based on surface value and their character assassinated based on content taking out of context. I believe this has very much occurred in regards to Daniele.

Everyone comments, on her weight and her "brattiness", and her relationship with Kris and Nick, and little focus on the reasons why she acts the way she does or the fact that she has proven herself to be a great game player and someone with a big heart.

First off... her weight.
Daniel is a petite girl, she's still very young and probably has amazingly fast metabolism, She is NOT anorexic, bulimic nor does she have any issues with eating or her body image. She seems very comfortable in her own skin and she LOVES TO EAT. When she is able to (not on slop) she eats junk food like it's going out of style, her only issue has been that she can't stand slop and doesn't want to eat it...can you blame her? So I think the "Skeltor" comments are a bit much, besides have you guys actually seen skeletor? He's a buff guy with a skull for a head, so your comparison is flawed.

Secondly her "Relationship issues"
It is not for any of us to criticize her relationship choices, we are not in her shoes, can we have our opinions on who we would like to see her with ...sure, but it's going way over board to call her a slut, skank or whatever variations some posters have referred to her as in regards to how she handles her romantic life.

Obviously I'm pulling for Nick and Daniele to pursue a relationship outside the house, they are adorable and so obviously equally into each other romantically, does that mean I want it to happen at the expense of Kris and his feelings...no, I feel for him and it's an awful awkward situation and that is compounded by the fact that BB wants to exploit it for ratings and Fans feel they can past judgment of her behavior.

You can't help who you fall for and NONE of us know what kind of relationship Dani and Kris had prior to the house, outside the few comments she's made about their life together, which give the appearance that there was trouble in paradise and she had been having doubts about her future with him. She obviously feel for Nick in the house and is doing her very best to weigh all her options out and do what is best for her while trying not to hurt anyone in the process. She has shown that while she has not handle things the best in regards to crossing the line with Nick while still dating Kris, she shows regret and concern over hurting both Nick ad Kris and is very conflicted about how she can make it through this period in her life causing as little pain, to the people she cares about, as possible.

It's silly for us to judge her every move in the house in regards to her time spent with Nick. They're both young and attractive people who develop feelings for one another and in the confines of such a stressful environment. They would of course find comfort in time spent with each other, as if to view it as an escape from the chaos of that house and all the craziness and negativity that surrounds that game.

So While we can all have our opinions about who she should be with or stay with, I really wish I could stop reading posts in which people call her a slut or Nick a homewrecker. It's, IMO, going a bit far.

Third...her "brattiness"
This is something I doubt many people should or could speak to as they are not in the same situation that Daniele is in with her Father. Unless you have lived that life (which i personally have) to be estranged from your father and feel the impact, not having that male role model in your life, has over the course of your life and letting it influence your daily decisions, you cannot understand.

There have been a few times where I have sat and cringed as i watched Dick try and be there for Dani and she blows him off, I've felt for him as I'd see him trying. Only to later realize what Dani has had to deal with her whole life, when I see Dick undermine her intelligence and betray her confidences.

Dick is an egotistical, arrogant fool. He's quick to judge and runs his mouth way too much and quite often to the detriment of his daughter and her game.

Was that not just him after Nick left telling Dani how he should have listened to her and how smart she was and what a fool he had been and how he'd never doubt her again in regards to her take on the game and the other HG? Only to later start pushing Eric done her throat and trying to convince her to trust him. Why is he so willing to trust Eric or other HG over his own Daughters opinions?

And how sweet of him to be there for her and give her good advise after she came out to the hammock and finally after all this time opened up to her father and needed him to be there for her. Only to later blab to the whole house (including Jen) why Dani was upset. Now why was there a need for Dick to tell Jen how guilty Dani felt over the situation between her and Kris and Nick? There was none. This was Dick being Dick running his mouth just to hear himself talk. While in the process he gives her sworn enemy personal (none game) ammunition to use against her whenever she has the chance. Great way to be a dad Dick. BTW this is just one of many times Dick has ran his mouth about Dani's private business to other HG who would later use it against
her.

Dick is happy and complimentary to Dani when he knows he's safe and when things are going well. He had a brief moment with her when he planned to save her from the block and use the veto, but all his other actions fall short and end up costing her footing in the game.

Dick does not listen to her, he talks behind her back and undermines her every chance he gets, he tries to act "parental" when it suits his needs, but ultimately falls back to the arrogant jerk who is more like "the mean friend" then the "supportive father".

We've seen a little over a month of this interaction, she's dealt with it her entire life. There are so many hurt emotions and deep wounds that cannot be repaired during the course of a show like this. They appear to be close at times in the game, but it is only due to circumstances and necessity to bond for the sake of their place in the game. There has been little to no talk of their underlying issues so there can be no reconciliation until they are away from that house and able to talk about it privately, at the very least maybe this game has opened up the lines of communication that may extend past this game.

But until then there is still a rift that is not repaired and will not be during this game as Daniele, rightfully so, has no desire to have this conflict in her life (as well as the one with Kris and Nick) play out for the cameras and BB's rating's.

She's is young and had to deal with a lot, only to later be forced to deal with it all on national TV. She's been through the gamut of emotions and hardships in that house from starvation, guilt over new emotions, confrontation of issues she's tried to avoid her whole life, backstabbing and betrayal, and the loss of her main support, friend + and ally in the house. People should remember this prior to jumping on the "attack Dani" bandwagon. Just try and think about how you would handle all of this.

I think her issues with her dad are far too great for her even to attempt to get into on this show and so therefor she avoids it all costs. But we've seen that she is not the stubborn heartless wretch people make her out to be when she is engaged in a confrontation with other people.

She fought with Nick all the time and always went to him afterwards, trying to take the high road and work things out with him, if she was this "bratty princess" who only looked out for herself she wouldn't even bother, she would wait for him to come to her and "beg" forgiveness, quite often it was the other way around. She made an effort to keep her relationship with Nick solid as it was very important to her and she was able to admit at times that she was at fault. She obviously wont do that with her dad because whatever is in their past she feels strongly that he is to blame and that it is up to him not her to correct the problems. She is not unreasonable nor will she ever just pout and say "I'm right you're wrong and that's that!" But in regards to her and her Dad's situation it's is far more deep a hurt that can't be expected to be repaired simply because they had a few hearts to hearts and he used the POV on her.

Finally Dani's Game play
As everyone will, no doubtedly say what they want about her personally, how can people not see what a great game player she is. She is very smart, observant and cunning. She does great in comps, she has a great instincts on what people to trust (though she has let people get to her on occasion and put doubts in her head, but that was more about worry over none game related issues).

Granted she did seclude her self with Nick and did not start kicking ass till he left, But she has been the one to always see the clear picture, to be the one to figure it all out and play smart. Her head was always in this game, and even though most of her time was occupied by Nick, she was always working to keep her and him safe in the game.

Just look back on that act she played up, the few week before Nick left, where she had the LNC believing she didn't care about Nick, all while working every angle to keep his name away from any nomination talk. People saw her as back stabbing Nick or being an idiot from not believing him, but she always had faith in him. Though on occasion she would succumb to some doubt here and there, she always came back to her goal to keep them both in the house.

Knowing that the LNC wouldn't trust her and confide in her if she was so close to Nick, she played a great game in getting them to believe she had their backs over Nicks, only to subtly keep moving the target to anyone other then Nick. Sadly while she was able to infiltrate the LNC inner sanctum, they as everyone else would not listen to her, as they all feel she is just a little dumb valley girl.

Well, Dani is not dumb, and while she's young, she is very mature and plays up the "valley girl" thing and "brattiness" as strategy. She has a heart and has shown it quite often. She feels immense guilt over the situation between her, Nick and Kris and is doing her best to handle it fairly. She has compassion and has shown she can be there for people even if she doesn't care for them. This is why i find it difficult that so many people root for Jen over Dani.

Jen is hurtful and mean spirited, she's been after Dani from the moment Nick turned his attention away from her to Daniele. Jen "lucks" her way from comps and then makes personal moves in the game. Her character is not enduring or resembling anything close to a decent human being. She has no compassion and thinks of no one but herself. Her interaction with Dani has always been about making pots shots at Danis life outside the house, and Dani has never once baited or engaged Jen in argument. It is so beyond me why people would prefer Jen over Dani.

So to close this rather long diatribe, Everyone is of course allowed their opinions, however we should consider all the facts and remember we don't know the whole back story on her life with her dad or Kris before we go around trashing Dani's personally. Say what you will about her game play, but PLEASE, think long and hard before calling her a bratty anorexic slut.

Well as the head of the "nickele" fan forum, I'll weigh in.

I never thought of Nick and Dani as replacements for will and Janelle, did they need to be replaced? Why couldn't the two couple coexist?

I didn't know I had to choose.

I will say I will always be a winelle fan, I loved the person Will was with Janie...without her though...not so much, and the more i grew to know him the worse it got and it became easier for me to let go of my interest in winelle.

Winelle was a phenomenon simply because of the charisma and chemistry between will and Janelle and the fact that they "teased" us with info and kept us hooked.

Maybe with Nickele, some fans don't see the challenge so it holds little interest for them. Nick is open about his feelings and has nothing to hide, he's just content talking about how much he's into Dani and how he want to live happily ever after with her. He talks about their plans and he gives us all the actions we wished we saw in Will last year in regards to Janelle.

To me it's like a nice break from last years contant speculation, it's just nice, simple and sweet.

But I'm not using nickele as a way to get over Winelle, if there's another showmance next year...chances are, I'll be into it...just the kinda person i am. A hopeless romantic, i love watching people fall in love and it definitely happend againt his year!

I made a comment recently about how I felt that nickele might not have held the same interest had Dani not already been in a relationship...so there is some sort of interest for me in that "hook" of the storyline...the will they or wont they? The "What will happen", aspect of the romance that makes it that much more exciting to watch.

Winelle had that aspect in spades and that's why it still hold an interest for so many. But for me...getting to know Janelle a little more and seeing Will for the person he really is, i just can't get behind wanting to see winelle come to pass. Maybe if i knew that Janelle could bring back the man that we all fell for...who knows. but if I were to imagine her living out her life with the man he is right now...I wouldn't wish that on anyone...not even Erin.

Ultimately I just want to see all parties involved end up happy.

Guess she forgot that she raised $5,000 + A GIFT BASKET FOR NICK!
