i've only been watching csi for about three years now and i can't believe how good it's still doing. is this their 9th season? as far as the
desert being the way they portrayed it goes, yes, it does get that way. when sarah got out of the car i thought "damn, that was easy." but when they
panned away to show she was leaving the car i thought "oh fuck, don't leave the car!! the desert will kill you!". i've been hiking at the
lake on a summer day and you can't get very far without coming close to passing out of heat stroke. it's brutal. that's on a nice day.

either way it was stupid to leave the car. I kept thinking maybe it was because of the coyotes but that little cactus shade tree wasn't much better

Yes, it was dumb for Sarah to leave the car, but maybe she thought the killer might return and wanted to place some distance between her and the car.

From the Promo:
I find it amusing that Sara said "2 years" and Gil said "9 years". I guess intimate means different things to different people :D |

Everyone's right that she shouldn't have left the car. Funny though, that when she took the mirror with her to use as a signal, I thought "smart
girl" but it became a complete non-issue.

I thought it was the mirror that enabled Nick to spot her out there....
The only thing I enjoyed last night was William Peterson's final scene in the copter. he did a good job of showing emotions without words, imo. plus, he's hot. |

I couldn't tell how Nick spotted her and had wondered how he did when she seemed to blend right in with the background. I hope it was the mirror,
otherwise the whole bit of her carrying it with her and even dropping it once was pointless.

If you rewatch the eppy, you'll see that Nick saw a flash of light from the mirror. So, yeah, smart girl.
I really, really liked this eppy. My only issue is how dumb the criminals are even when they're smart. I maen, Natalie putting the name of the auto slavage place out in the open like that? I guess she really figured she wouldn't get caught. |

Definitely a shark-jumping episode.

The episode seemed drawn out and not very emotionally charged. It was okay.
I'm undecided on whether Sarah's move was smart. On the one hand, I can see why she would move away from the car. As far as she knows the only one who knows she's there is the killer. It was a fluke that they thought about the salvage place on time (one of those flukes that only happens on CSI, ya know). She needed to find help. Having said that, it was stupid to leave a trail to where she was going if she was really trying to get away from the killer. I don't know, but that's not what made the episode disappointing. I was never on the edge of my seat, the weaving back and forth in the time-line for some reason left me without suspense. I'm not going to bail based on the first epi, but it could have been way better. |

Sara had to leave the car to fill up the last 15 minutes of the show. It was more FCC-friendly than the alternative of torturing a catatonic freak until she gives up Sara's location (go Brass!). |

Definitely a shark-jumping episode. Hardly! Actually, not even close! If CSI were to jump the shark, it would have done so already. Some people say it did. This episode definitely was not it. |

The miniature killer storyline ended up being such a dud. Turns out that little twit actually was actually behind all those detailed murders and she
wasn't even introduced until last season's finale. Blech. This show needs to get back to the weekly plots and leave the long-running arcs to
procedurals like HOUSE and NCIS.

Agreed. I hate the storyline. |

I liked Grissom with the beard. They just shaved him so he looked young enough to have younger Sara interested in him. My humble opinion.
That's all.

Sara has had a thing for Grissom for years. HE was the one who kept putting her off because they work together and because he wanted to keep his life as
sterile as possible to be better at his work.
