S15 Ep 3 - Reward Challenge (Rassling) |
Lead | |
|
Thanks to SFnet for the vidcaps...more chances for the CBS censor. Per TVguide this is RC, and they are apparently defending boats. "For a reward
of comfort items, including pillows, blankets and a tarp, the two tribes are each given a boat and must defend it against attacks".

From the riddles: The kidnapped castaway bonds with the kidnappers over issues of faith, and the floodgates open as that castaway reveals their own tribe's dynamics.Leslie gets kidnapped, meaning Zhan Hu wins this challenge?. Difficult to believe. |

I definitely read that as Leslie is involved, but she may bond with the Kidnappee, rather than be it. Something to watch for sure. Jaime seemed aware enough
to not spill anything, but Sherea is also from the Bible belt.

Erik also proclaims himself a Christian in his bio. Maybe he is kidnapped and bonds with Leslie.

Here's a camp shot of Dave acting crazy - no tarp, pillows or blankets...possibly indicating another ZH loss?

Last picture is on a Zhan Hu (yellow board) boat. Amanda is pulling Sherea in, while Jaime is grappling with Denise. It looks like someone is in the water between Amanda and the camera. The hair looks like Peih-Gee. Def not Courtney. Could be Leslie, I suppose... |

Survivor Pheonix has some CBS shots including this one. There is a bundle in the shelter. Rewards?
and this during RC pic:

I thought it looked like a bundle too, Croc. Although it could be JR...
I just wish Leslie had been in the shot. |

If you blow it up it's a bundle, whether it's a reward is anyone's guess.

If we believe Fei Long is careful and reasonable and successful and such, probably they built two of those lovely stable benches, each big enough for four
people (accounting for Jean Robert's fat butt). I think the five people here are sitting a little tight because Sherea is on the other bench with the other
three Fei Long.
What jumps out a me from that photo is Denise. Everyone else is covered in mud, in their underwear, and she looks like she just slipped on a pair of keds to run to the grocery, not like she's been playing Survivor for a week. |

Those shots of James are distracting. Damn that man is fine!! I like the commercial that shows him just rolling what looks like 2 guys into the water.

Probably. It looks like each round is three-on-three, same gender, so probably Courtney and Todd sit out, as the smallest.
I think each team starts out on their own-coloured platform, and you win the round by knocking the other team into the water and occupying their platform.(How do you win the whole challenge? If one team wins the women's round and one wins the men's, do you keep going until someone gets them both? Or does one gender, say, the one with boobies, go twice for the tie-breaker?) The first vidcap of the women looks like Zhan Hu has the advantage - they're on the Fei Long dock, Sherea and Jaime look like they've about got Amanda into the water, and Leslie has Peih-Gee tied up, with no sign of lunch lady. In the third vidcap, they're on the Zhan Hu dock, Sherea and Amanda are going into the water, and there's some kind of pile with lunch lady and ?Jaime. Two separate rounds, or a stunning turnaround in fortune? I can't imagine any way Dave/Erik/Frosti can beat James/Jean-Robert/Aaron, even if Frosti does some crazy flying-through-the-air thing. |

Ooh, I had a different guess on how it plays. I was thinking they started on the other team's platform and the goal was to get to their own platform. I
think your way might make more sense!

I am not sure if anyone else has noticed this or not, But, I have noticed that the HII symbol is the same symbol that is on on the torches and in the
Tribal Council?... and they said that the URN that they put the parchments in, was an old antique bucket that the crew had purched from a local...And it came
with a sentiment " Prepare for honorable fight" inscribed on it's side...
Does anyone know what the HII symbol mean, or stand for? Or, did I miss something?

I know Chyn will have the correct translation...but I believe she said it means good fortune or salary (obviously they didn't see my paycheck).

It looks like they have to go across the balance beam to reach the opposing tribes boat. So they can also knock them off the balance beam. In the overhead
shots above, you can see there is a big tribe flag in the middle of each boat but not sure how this plays into the challenge. The pole seems to big to pull
out. It seems to simple to just push all the opposing tribe members off and into the water.
