That part didn't bother me at all. I am more irritated that the helicopters wouldn't have seen her or her see them when she was limping around the desert. How fucking fast was she walking lol ? Even assuming she couldn't see the peeps on the ground or vehicles etc.... how could she not see the helicopter in the sky?

It sounds like she is still bitter over what happened a few years back. That sucks, if I were Sara I would rather be killed off by the MK then go out with a whimper a few weeks later.

I kept screaming that at my tv. Was not impressed with the opener. I really wish that the stop resueing people..let them die!!! According to TV Guide even though she lived she is still leaving the show in November. It sounds like she is still bitter over what happened a few years back. That sucks, if I were Sara I would rather be killed off by the MK then go out with a whimper a few weeks later. that's so lame...they should have killed her last night.

If had truly been smart she would have known that you don't try to walk out of the desert during the day, esp. if you don't have a supply of water. You stay put and find a shaded area.

I have to guess that CSI didn't know that she was leaving (assuming it's her decision?) when they wrote the Season opener b/c w/ a show that is supposed to be so smart and well done, not killing off a main character in this multi episodes storyline arc when they had the chance would be nothing short of stupidity. I passed on the opener b/c 2 other shows were on the same time and I figured Sara would be fine as she was. I'll catch it in the repeats. Not a fan of the Sara character and the stupid Sara/Grissolm romance if you want to call it that and don't give 2 shits that she's out. Better her than someone else. Out of curioisty, in the ep last night, did CSI do any pathetic Grissolm loves Sara (or vise versa) scenes that as usual fell flat?

The one with him and (I think) Elizabeth McGovern and what happens to them once they leave college and get married. It is played in the scene where she is having complications during the birth of their first child and he is going through hell in the waiting room. The song is very moving. Me too--It was "She's Having a Baby." I shall now miss the commercials, seeing as how they were 50x better than this crapfest. CSI used to be untouchable to me. Now... jump/shark. I hate hate hate hate hate Sara and needed to see her dead. (This being said...) What happened on the "stay tuned for scenes from our next episode?" My DVR cut it off.

Supposedly William and Margaret are not re-signing. It is my opinion that they will end the show rather than try to run it w/o Grissom & Catherine.

Even if they don't all come back I think that the show will keep going. CSI bested Grey's in total ratings last night (lost in key demos) and as long as they have one of the originals to carry on the Las Vegas name I think it will keep going. Where did you see that others did not want to re-up their contracts?

AA mentions it the most in passing - usually referencing last season when William wanted out of his contract and they sent him on that sabbatical and brought in that one dude (Liev Schreiber) for a few eps. This year I have heard they are expanding Margaret's story because she is also wanting to do other things so they are going to try to satisfy her by incorporating it into her character this season. No one has confirmed it - but this is the same way they (Kristen & AA) spoke about Jorga Fox up until the confirmation of her leaving. IMO when you look at shows behind the scenes news and supposed 'contract negotiations' you start to see the writing on the wall and if an actor or actress isn't leaving then and something gets worked out to keep him or her - they still leave, only later.
