I just hope that when the Cubs finally blow this thing they'll be smart enough to stay the fuck out of Chicago. Just have the grounds crew clean out their
lockers and keep them far, far away from the Windy City.

I didn't realize it was Lou Piniella who sucked at pitching and hitting. It was Lou Piniella that put Steve Traschel on the hill today in a critical game with the season on the line. I can think at least three other pitchers that could have started this game that would have probably given us a better chance than Traschel. 5 ER in 4.1 innings, phenomenal. And then naturally the bullpen shuts the Fish down the rest of the way. Way to stick with that "veteran presence", Lou. It was also great to see former Cubs prospect Reynel Pinto shut down the Cubs with the bases loaded in the seventh. Knew that Pierre trade would come back to bite us in the ass sooner or later. |

Exactly Yid. I guess I wasn't upset about Traschel because at this point I expect ANY Cubs pitcher to go on the mound and suck, if only because of the
"C" on their cap.
And I thought we weren't allowed to be mad at Lou yet. Wasn't it Year 3 when everyone stopped wearing their "In Dusty We Trusty" T-Shirts? |
