I "had" hope that it would be a fun show
had a nice look/style alot of good looking people but it lacks believability and characters that you care about seems to be trying to hard to be hip and edgy......but lacks all heart and soul... seemed more like I was watching a SciFi channel low budget show...directed by a ex mtv music video guy ... then Network tv |

Considering it was a pilot episode, it wasn't that bad. They had to set up the basic premise and seemed to rush through it, which was fine by me. Get to
the action. I was hoping the boyfriend/surgeon would be killed, but oh, well. The "troubled sister" subplot could become irritating, but they
suggested that she's a hacker genius, so possibly her character may have a role to play as the story unfolds.
This has potential, but will have to re-evaluate my opinion after six episodes or so. Katee Sakhoff is great. New chick isn't bad, either. Pouty lips, pretty eyes. Bionic catfight was fun. Needs more techy stuff. |

Was hard to follow this opening show. It was so choppy...
By the end, it seemed to redeem itself, but I hope they go into more of the backstory. It was just really hard to enjoy it. |

The actress who plays Jamie Sommers reminds me of Monica Lewinsky big-time.

Didnt really dig it all that much.
Random musings: - where can they go with this? its the same old 'government bad guys', 'arch nemesis' formula. - I dont see how the storyline can sustain. Seems too affected. - Michelle Ryan isnt that hot. She's two faced. Looks hot in some regards, ugly in others. She's got that thick neck and Jay Leno chin. Just doesnt look toned enough. Pretty eyes, but funky British teeth. Bad choice in actress. For a show that was hyped so much, didn't really hit it that well. |

There was one totally un-flattering shot when Jamie was in the hospital where she had a double chin.....
I didn't mind it, will tune in for Sara Corvis. Cool character. |

Based on the early numbers, this actually did really well in the ratings.
According to pifeedback: Bionic Woman: 9.3/14 Private Practice finished slightly higher with a 9.8/15, but it had DWTS as a lead-in, so the fact that Bionic Woman had nearly identical numbers is very impressive. NBC must be very pleased. The question is whether viewers will stick around for the rest of the season. |

I think it was a great move to have Friday Night Light's producer work on Bionic Woman. He knows how to mix serious topics with levity and
light-heartedness.
The pilot was too dark. Hopefully, the new producer will shift the tone to a happy medium between Chuck and Alias. Michelle Ryan needs to work on her American accent. Her English accent kept slipping through.

13.6 million viewers for the premiere. Impressive.
Even more impressive is that it beat Private Practice in the 18-49 demographic (5.5/14 for Bionic Woman, 5.1/13 for Private Practice). Looks like this has a great chance of sticking around the entire season and getting picked up for a second season. Hopefully that will give them enough time to iron out the wrinkles in the show.

I really wanted to like this, but I really couldn't get into it. Have fun with it though, something just wasn't clicking for me.

It beat Private Practice? Excellent.
Any chance that crap will get cancelled? Probably hoping for too much considering the following of the crap show from which it spun off from. |

NBC has to be thrilled right now. Both of its shows (Bionic Woman and Life) beat ABC's shows (Private Practice and Dirty Sexy Money) in the 18-49
demographic.

According to Variety, NBC is planning to do an updated version of Knight Rider, which could air next fall depending on how well the pilot does:

I'm not tooting the Bionic Woman horn by any stretch, but if I stopped watching shows after only watching the premiere episode, I wouldn't even be
watching TV. I can remember thinking that the Lost premiere was a little lackluster too, but now it's my flavorite show on current television.
Get back to me in 5 to 10 episodes and I'll pass ultimate judgment. The only thing I know for certain is that they need to kill off BW's no chemistry having boyfriend. |
