In Fiji, the font size for Earl's name was distinctly larger than the font size of everyone else's name.
In China, two people have enlarged font sizes... Todd and James. Throw in their E1 edits and I'm curious about an unexpected Todd/James F2...

She's 4th in the intro. Earl was 4th too. Or maybe they just did that to throw us off - but have any back-to-back winners had the same position in the intro? Aras and Yul were both 12th from the beginning. |

Amanda is shown with shifty eyes and then in a shot smashing log through wood immediately showing a shot of Denise...is she the one that pushes a Denise
vote-out coalition?
James has a winners edit...but it's too visible. He's probably the ultimate underdog of the season. Courtney, is shown putting no emotion into her snipping of contestants. Denise = Panda Second tribe shown struggling. James is showing as the biggest threat and the one that propels his tribe to victory tackling Frosti and Dave in their opening shots Jean-Robert - poker face Todd - serious and always thinking (strategy) Leslie - just a mess... Jaimi - happy, genuine |

THAIGUY--I quit reading your post once I saw the word "Spoiler", but spoiler talk OF ANY KIND is not supposed to be in the Speculation
section--please edit it out.
Thaiguy, I do think the winner will come from Fei-Long. Their intro is more relaxed and happier all around. Also, symbolically, the dragon always reigns supreme in Chinese art and history. But, the dragon is their tribe mascot, chosen long before the game began. You can't claim that "dragon means they succeed" because the name was there first. |

Mascots in Survivor have been symbolic and foretelling in the past. Survivor: The Amazon had Jaburu ("stork") vs. Tambaqui ("fish"). In
the intro credits below, Jenna was shown fishing, and a bird was shown grabbing a fish from the water.

But, how do you back up this idea--that the producers actually put people they somehow psychicly KNOW will win, in advance, on the "dragon" tribe? But, the dragon is their tribe mascot, chosen long before the game began. Well obviously once the show is over, and if the winner happened to be on the dragon tribe, the editors could put in a slight dragon motif in the opening
credits, ALA Amazon.

From the credits though (which are always made after the game), Fei Long is shown to be happier, while Zhan Hu is shown to be more weary. Fei Long also has
a sunrise image, while Zhan Hu has a sunset image. That leads me to speculate the winner is from Fei Long, and if so, it would coincide with the cultural
dominance of the dragon.

Um, yes I did. The post in question was the one where I mentioned that other thread that isn't supposed to be mentioned here and I deleted the entire response in which I named said thread.

Peih-Gee/Erik | ||

When I first saw the opening intro, I wrote off Peih-Gee and Erik because their shots didn't really stand out from the rest of Zhan Hu. I noticed they were both actually very similiar with each one carrying logs to build their shelter with the tribe flag waving in the background. Looking back, it's not surprising to see these two be the last surviving Zhan Hu members since they're still holding onto what's left of their original tribe. Who outlasts who? It's hard to say. I'd have to say Peih-Gee since she's shown being able to carry things on her own, whereas Erik actually has Jaime helping him. |

You can also notice Peih Gee in the background of Erik's shot too, for what it's worth.

There's actually a lot of "log" intros, can be seen with Todd, Amanda and JR.
I'm sure someone could interpret Amanda's log smashing as her victory. |

I'm pretty sure the Amanda one was discussed after the first episode, and I've always said I thought the Todd one either related to him cutting people
loose without effort, or him throwing his game away in some aspect. Though we're on the log topic, isn't Peih Gee the only one to be carrying/dragging
2?

I thought it was interesting how Courtney and Todd are both throwing things away in their intros. Courtney throwing away a leaf she just broke apart/Todd tossing away a bamboo log. Maybe they make it to the end but end up losing; "throwing their game away" like some have suggested. To who though? Denise and Peih-Gee's intros aren't dynamic enough compared to Amanda's...
I should've left in Amanda's sweet smile... then bam! Never saw that coming. Right, James?

Wow, from tonight, the intro threw some huge hints at us. There was like 6 seconds between Amanda and the rest of the contestants, and then a quick switch to
"The Jury". I interpreted "Amanda is closer to the Jury."

I always anticipate Amanda's intro for some reason, and I noticed that too. She was the only non-juror after "39 days" and she had a good 5-10
seconds between the other contestants.
