I was pretty shocked to see how many Pro-Ana Societys there are out there. One of my good friends read her 15 year old daughters diary (I have already gave her shit re: invasion of privacy etc) but in it she discovered that her daughter's best friend is purging .. what would you do in this case? My response was: 1. You should never have read the diary in the first place 2. If you are very concerned why not bring up to your daughter "My So&So is looking really sickly and thin these days .. is she sick??" 3. Drop an anoyomous note in the mom's mailbox? I'm fresh out of ideas |
